Rasel Catering review

Large generous servings.. Ordered for 30 pax, but seems like it is more than enough for 40 pax. Everyone had their fill.

Good service: Take away packets are provided without request, timely and nice set up. Friendly customer service/sales rep.

Pleasant service throughout. Sales advisor called back within a day of placing order and offered advice on original choice of food items. Actual day delivery is punctual and setup is prompt. Presentation is good with flower basket and food labelled. However, food took longer than the 30mins recommended to warm up. Servings size are big. All guests like the mutton rendang and nonya laksa. Baked salmon too dry.

Grilled indonesian Chicken ended tasting like curry chicken and it did not look or taste grilled . Nonya Kueh did not have the fragarant smell/taste- really disappointed with the kueh. Bubur cha cha was a hit ! Shepherd's pie and duck was good too! Overall good experience with Rasel's service and food. The guys arrived early and they were really patient when our venue had some hiccups and they had to wait for 40mins before setting up our place. Thanks!

i didn't manage to eat much 'cause i was too busy, but my friends and family love the laksa and shepherd pie.
Season green was awful i heard.

caterer bother to tidy up and put some floral decoration. more of such decoration would be good!

I hired Rasel for my ROM after reading many rave reviews online. I was on a tight schedule so I was very happy that the food came on time, not early not late. I was too busy entertaining the guest that I forgot what I had ordered. I realised I had too much deep fried stuff on my menu!

I changed the chicken to bulgogi and it didn't look at all like it, I thought they had my order wrong. The fried rice was bland, as expected from catered food. The  laksa and ytf was pretty good, would give it 8/10. The rest of it were pretty normal.. I'll give it 5/10. The standard is pretty much comparable to other caterers but I wouldn't hotly recommend.

Excellent service from Kelly (Rasel catering consultant). She was very prompt in replying and professional & patient in advising the dishes.

The food portions were adequate. Have received compliments on the food and setup from my guests. The setup was lovely and professional with food labels, cover for beverage dispenser etc. Takeaway boxes were provided as well though I did not requested.

Delivery and collection were very punctual despite the heavy rain. The delivery staff were quick and friendly too.

The setup was completed earlier than 5.30pm when I have requested in my order that the time we start dinner is 6.30pm. By the time we start to  eat. Hot become not hot enough, cold become not cold enough.

1) am very surprised that for an event with 60 pax, the dishes do not even have a label.  The guests were wondering what dish it was they were scooping and had to keep asking the host.
As a result, much of food was left untouched as guests were not sure if it was beef or pork.
2)  Delivery guys were rushing for another event and forgot to leave ta pau boxes behind. As a result, my guests did jot have disposable boxes to pack leftover food home.

After the event and she has promised to speak to management about by complaint and call me back.
I have not heard from her ever since.
