Marmite Chicken
A true crowd-pleaser! The Marmite Chicken had a delicious balance of sweet and savoury flavours. Each bite was juicy, with the sticky glaze coating the crispy edges perfectly. It paired wonderfully with steamed rice and gave that “comfort food” satisfaction. Every piece came in huge too! Definitely worth it and one of my favourite dishes.
Fish Fillet with Black Bean Sauce & Bittergourd
The Fish Fillet with Black Bean Sauce and Bittergourd was rich and savoury, with the tender fish soaking up the bold, umami flavors of the sauce. The slight bitterness of the gourd balanced the dish perfectly, adding depth and a satisfying contrast.

Seasonal Greens with Garlic
Simple, fresh, and cooked just right. The greens retained their crunch while the garlic added a fragrant kick. It’s a dish that balances the richness of the mains and reminds you that tingkat meals can be both hearty and nutritious.

The Vegetarian Glass Noodles with Black Fungus were light yet flavourful, with a pleasant chewiness from the noodles and an earthy crunch from the fungus. Well-seasoned and refreshing, it’s a wholesome dish that’s both simple and satisfying.

Deep-Fried Tempura Prawn
The tempura prawns came with a light golden coating and a nice savoury flavour. While the batter had softened a little by the time I tried it, the prawn inside was still plump and juicy. A quick pop into the air fryer would easily bring back that extra crunch, making it a side dish worth looking forward to.
Fried Wanton
The Fried Wanton was perfectly crisp and golden on the outside, with a juicy, flavorful filling inside. Paired with a Thousand Island dip, it made for a satisfying and addictive snack.

Old Cucumber Chicken Soup
A true classic in Chinese home cooking. The soup was light and nutritious, with the old cucumber adding a natural sweetness. The chicken pieces were so tender, and the overall broth felt cooling and nourishing — a great complement to the main dishes. As a fan of Chinese soup, I could honestly have this with plain rice only.
White Snow Fungus Chicken Soup
This soup stood out for its health benefits and taste. The snow fungus gave a slight gelatinous texture, while the chicken and red dates infused the broth with richness and depth. A soothing soup that warms you from the inside.
🍮 Dessert
Agar Agar Jelly
A refreshing way to end the meal! The bright yellow jelly had a light, fruity sweetness that cleansed the palate after the savoury dishes. It’s a thoughtful touch, showing that A&E Gourmet Group goes beyond the basics in their tingkat service.
