3 Potato Recipes you can do at Home

Potato is a simple ingredient that can be found in almost every household. Although it is a common ingredient used by many, do you know that potatoes are rich in potassium and are high in vitamin C? Here are 3 potato recipes you can make at home.

 

Baked Potato

Baked potato is one of the most common dishes being served in western cuisine. All you need are 4 easy ingredients with a few minutes of preparation time and a good oven.

Ingredients: Russet Potatoes, Butter/Olive Oil, Salt and Pepper

How to Make: Preheat your oven to 230 degrees. Prepare a baking sheet and place your poked potatoes on it. Bake for potatoes for 25 minutes and take it out and brush some butter and sprinkle some salts. Lastly, put the potatoes back into the oven for another 20-30 minutes and you are ready to eat.

 

Mashed Potatoes

If you are craving for basic and traditional mashed potatoes, here is the recipe for you!

Ingredients: 900g of Russet Potatoes, 2 tbsp of Butter, 1 Cup of milk, Salt and Pepper

How to Make: Boil the potatoes in salted water for 15 minutes and drain them. In a small saucepan, heat the butter and milk over low heat until butter is melted. Use a potato masher to slowly blend milk mixture into potatoes until smooth and creamy. Lastly, season it with salt and pepper based on your taste.

 

Crispy Rosti Potato

Rosti Potato is a Swedish version of the classic potato pancake. It is normally served with smoked salmon or sour cream with chives.

Ingredients: Any type of Potatoes, Butter/Olive Oil, Salt and Pepper

How to Make: Firstly, peel the potatoes and grate them using large holes grater. Put the potatoes in a large bowl and toss them thoroughly with salt and pepper. Heat up an 8 inch pan with a medium high heat. Add the oil into the pan and wait till it sizzles. Once it is heated up, spread the potato evenly over the pan about 0.5 inch thick and fried each side for 6 minutes. Lastly, place it on a plate and cut it like a pizza and you are ready to eat!
