3 Salad Recipes That You Can Make At Home!

3 Salad Recipes That You Can Make At Home!

Do you always find that the salad you are eating are always the same and not flavourful? Many people have the mentality that salad should be tasteless and dull because it is a ‘healthy food’ and you can only get them in those high end cafes which can cost up to an average of 10 dollars which is not that cheap for a meal if you intend to have it regularly.

Here are some delicious and cheap recipes you can make for yourself!

Everyday Salad Recipe

As you can tell from the name of this recipe, everyday salad means that it is very easy to make for your daily life. This salad recipe is the most basic green salad you can get from outside. It is one of the standard salads that you can count on.

Ingredients: Fresh Greens, Cucumber, Red Onion and some freshly Toasted Nuts

Dressing (Choose based on your own liking): Olive Oil, Garlic, Sea Salt, Pepper,

Red Wine Vinegar and even fresh Lemon Juice

How to make: Prepare all the ingredients and toss them together and you are ready to eat! Add some cheese if you like!

Salmon Salad Recipe

This recipe is for people who want to add some seafood touch in their salad. If you don’t already know, salmon is actually a good source of protein. It is rich in protective antioxidants and contains vitamin B12 and Omega 3 which is good for us.

Ingredients: Salmon fillet, Fresh Green, Tomato, Cucumber, Red Onion and Cheese

Dressing/Spices: Salt, Pepper, fresh Lemon Juice, Olive Oil and Red Wine Vinegar

How to make: Sprinkle some salt and pepper on both sides of the salmon fillet and put it in the oven at 145°F for 8 to 12 minutes. Prepare all the rest of the ingredients and toss them with olive oil. Once the salmon is done place it on top of the salad you just toss and squeeze some fresh lemon on top of the salmon. You are done!

Mother’s Potato Salad

Potato salad and green beans

This potato salad is one of my mother’s recipes and it is very simple and tasty. Just a few ingredients and time you will be able to master this salad.

Ingredients: Potatoes, Carrots, Long Beans, Eggs and Mayonnaise,

Salt and Pepper (Optional)

How to Make: Chop the potatoes and carrots into cube shape and chop the long beans into 5 cm size. Boil the potatoes and carrots first and when is almost done add the long beans in. Once they are done, prepare some hard boiled eggs and cut them into 4 pieces. Lastly, prepare a huge bowl and put all the ingredients in and mix them together. I would recommend just adding mayonnaise and pepper will do but if you prefer it to be more flavourful you can go ahead with the salts.
