One of the best ways to combat mosquito is to eliminate the breeding ground where they are able to lay their eggs. Most mosquitos lay their eggs directly in stagnant water to allow the eggs to hatch in larvae. To counter this, you should try to empty, scrub, turn over and cover any objects that can hold water. In most households we have buckets laying around in our toilet, so make sure to empty and cover them to avoid mosquito from breeding!
Use insect repellent
Insect repellent is the quickest and an effective method to drive out any mosquito from your home! It's important to note that you should try to buy repellent that is Environmental Protection Agency (EPA)-registered as they do not harm the environment. When used as directed from the packaging, it will be safe to use, even for pregnant and breastfeeding women.

If there's a dengue outbreak in your area, it is probably wise to invest in a mosquito net! Mosquito nets can help to protect you from insect bites when you are sleeping as the holes in the net are too small for any insects to get in. This will ensure that you would have a good night's rest with little to worry about!
In conclusion, dengue fever is not one to be overlooked! We can play a part in reducing the outbreak of dengue by removing stagnant water in our houses. For extra protection against dengue, you can look for an insect repellent that is EPA registered or just invest in a mosquito net!
