5 Baking Ingredient Substitutes!
Have you ever felt so excited to bake but when you start prepping your ingredients you realise that someone else in your household has used the last of that jar of sugar needed for your recipe? Same, I feel you. However, I love that the art of baking is not always needing to stick to a certain list of ingredients in a recipe and that baking ingredient substitutes are actually a thing! This week check out 5 baking ingredient substitutes that may come to your rescue when you run out some basic baking ingredients!

Greek yoghurts are naturally healthier as they are higher in protein and lower in fat content. However, it’s not always a 1:1 ratio substitution, so be mindful and experiment!

Honey is a good source of vitamins and minerals and also a good way to enjoy some baked treats while getting in some of those important nutrients. Honey is also natural sugar, and natural sugar is always a better option!

Coconut flour is a good gluten-free alternative to your normal wheat-based flour as it boosts fiber content and also can make your baked goods more fragrant and satisfying!

Mix milk and lemon juice together and let them sit for 10 minutes, then use them like regular buttermilk!
