Are You A Matcha Addict? Here are 3 Creative Recipes For you!
I don’t know about you, but I LOVE MATCHA! Whether it’s a cup of matcha latte, matcha cake, matcha cookie, I love it in all of its glorious forms. Not only is it delicious, fragrant, and comforting, it's insanely high in antioxidants. Here are three interesting matcha recipes that you have to try out!
1. Matcha Chia Seed Pudding

This dessert is a great way to get the flavour of a pudding but with way less calories!
Step 1: In a bowl, mix about two teaspoons of matcha powder with about a cup of milk. Whisk well.
Step 2: Add about 1/4 cup of chia seeds and any sweetener of your choice (honey, maple syrup). Stir well and let it set in the fridge for a couple of hours.
Step 3: It should be really pudding-y by then. You can then serve it in a glass or bowl with some fresh fruits on top.
2. Matcha Mug Cake

Here's what you need:
- 4 tbsp (30 g) all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp high quality matcha powder
- 1/4 tsp baking powder
- 1 tbsp (12.5 g) granulated white sugar
- 3 tbsp (45 ml) non-fat milk
- 1/2 tbsp (7.5 ml) vegetable oil
Step 1: Add all the dry ingredients into a microwave-safe mug. Whisk evenly until there are no lumps.
Step 2: Then, add all the wet ingredients and mix until smooth and even. Cook in the microwave for 1 minute.
Step 3: Let the cake cool before consuming.
3. Matcha Oatmeal

Oats are a morning staple for many as it's a quick and easy breakfast to make. Make oats the way you regularly would. I like to make overnight oats because that just means less cooking in the morning. Instead of adding other flavourings, I like to do fruits, some honey, and some matcha powder.
