FL Kitchen - Hotpot Necessities

FL Kitchen - Hotpot Necessities

Hotpot is a BIG BIG part of many people's lives but did you know how it came about?
Hot pot is thought to have originated in Mongolia 800-900 years ago.
The primary ingredient originally was meat (including mutton and horse), and the broth was not spicy.
Hot pot subsequently spread throughout China, where distinct regional variations developed and persist to this day.

To me, the most special part of Hotpot is, the bonding over food with your loved ones! When we have Hotpot, we usually take our time to eat and chitchat and give life updates and all of the sudden, it becomes a wholesome night.
Stomach is full but heart is fuller.
Also, hotpot is super easy to prepare, with many things made ready these days, we just have to get the ingredients ready and, add in soup and enjoy!

Now, let us show you some Hotpot Necessities, of course it varies according to your taste and preferences but these are ours:

Yes, it is indeed a spread, we went ahead with Hai Di Lao's Tomato Soup Base because it can never go wrong or go for MALA if you are up for some spiciness!

Quick Tip:

- Add in Goji (Wolfberries) and Dates to make the soup sweeter
- Add in corrainder when it's boiling, it will add fragrance to the soup
- Put in Carrot, Raddish or Vegetables of your choice into the pot before it boils (SOUP WILL TASTE X100 TIMES BETTER)

Of course, the star of the show, the sauce
What is hotpot without a dipping sauce? This sauce is life-changing, at least for me.
It goes well with any ingredient, especially MEAT.
If you can't take spice, just exclude the chilli padi.

With that, I hope you have a WHOLESOME HOTPOT meal with your loved ones!
Till then, take care and stay safe!
