A perennial favorite at any CNY gathering, the Yong Chow Fried Rice didn’t disappoint. Each grain was perfectly cooked, with a delightful balance of savory seasonings, eggs, and a variety of mixed vegetables. 

 

Seafood Fried Mee Hoon


The Seafood Fried Mee Hoon was another excellent dish, showcasing the perfect balance of delicate stir-fry techniques and fresh seafood. Plump prawns and squid mixed effortlessly with the thin noodles. The seasoning was spot-on — flavorful, but not overpowering — and the slight wok char imparted an aromatic depth that made it truly irresistible.

 

Mixed Veg Chap Chye


A beautiful representation of the simplicity and heartiness of Chinese vegetable dishes, the Mixed Veg Chap Chye was an excellent side. The vegetables were tender yet still retained a satisfying bite, and the flavorful braising sauce gave each piece a comforting richness. The inclusion of mushrooms added an earthy dimension that balanced the dish wonderfully.

 

Crispy Golden Long Spring Roll


Crispy on the outside and packed with a savory filling, these Crispy Golden Long Spring Rolls were a crowd-pleaser. The thin, golden shell cracked with each bite, revealing a delicious mix of vegetables. Paired with a tangy dipping sauce, it was an appetizer that had me going back for more.

 

Lemon Fish


The Lemon Fish was a refreshing surprise! Lightly battered and fried to crispy perfection, the fish fillets were elevated by a tangy, citrusy lemon sauce that was both zesty and sweet. It’s a dish that really brings brightness to the table, and the tender fish itself melted in the mouth.

 

Salted Egg Yolk Chicken


If you’re a fan of rich, indulgent flavors, the Salted Egg Yolk Chicken is a must-try. The crispy exterior encased juicy pieces of chicken, which were coated in a creamy salted egg yolk sauce. The richness of the sauce was perfectly balanced with the chicken, making each bite addictive. This was one of the highlights of the menu.

 

Chilli Prawn


Spicy, tangy, and bursting with flavor, the Chilli Prawn was a perfect balance of heat and sweetness. The prawns were plump and juicy, and the sauce had a nice kick without being overwhelmingly spicy. The chili sauce was thick and flavorful, giving every prawn a satisfying, fiery finish.

 

Braised Tofu w/ Shitake Mushroom & Broccoli


For those who prefer a vegetarian option, the Braised Tofu with Shitake Mushroom & Broccoli was a delight. The tofu was soft and silky, perfectly absorbing the savory, umami-rich sauce. The shitake mushrooms added a meaty texture, and the broccoli brought a refreshing crunch. This dish was a great way to balance out the richer flavors in the meal.

 

Fruit Tart


Ending on a sweet note, the Fruit Tart was a refreshing palate cleanser. The buttery crust was a perfect base for the light custard filling, topped with an assortment of fresh fruits. The tangy fruits — from kiwi to strawberries — added just the right amount of brightness, making this tart both refreshing and indulgent.

 

Mango Pomelo Sago


No CNY meal would be complete without a dessert that’s both sweet and cooling. The Mango Pomelo Sago was a beautifully executed version of this beloved treat. The creamy mango puree paired with the crunchy pomelo and chewy sago pearls created a wonderful texture contrast. It was a refreshing end to a decadent meal, and the balance of sweetness and citrus was just perfect.

 

Ice Lemon Tea Cordial

The Ice Lemon Tea Cordial has a refreshing and tangy taste with a balance of sweet and sour flavors. The tea base provides a mild, smooth, and slightly astringent flavor, while the lemon adds a zesty and citrusy brightness. The sweetness in the cordial softens the sharpness of the lemon, creating a pleasant and well-rounded drink. The overall taste is cool, invigorating, and perfect for quenching thirst!
