Today, we'll be reviewing two of their meal packages (Normal Meal and Trial Meal Set)
- Sea Cucumber with Spinach & Mushroom
Slightly chewy with a bit of crunch, sea cucumber has a unique texture! Paired with mushrooms and a sweet-salty sauce, Chinese-style braised sea cucumbers, spinach and mushroom makes an amazing dish. Slow cooking it gives the oyster sauce a chance to infuse into the ingredients and become a savory sticky glaze. This creates a melt-in-your-mouth experience! Super yummy!
- Honey Marmite Chicken
There is a thin line between love and hate when we talk about Marmite. People like its intense flavor, but others find it too concentrated. The taste of marmite is very much like concentrated salty beer. Hence, it is added to many dishes for the added umami. I love the gravy in the dish besides the tenderness of the chicken.
- Chinese Yam Black Bean Pork Ribs Soup
This Chinese black bean soup is a popular soup for Chinese ladies in confinement as black beans reputedly nourishes the blood and is also good for maintaining overall health. This soup has such an earthy, full-bodied taste from just a few ingredients. Every ingredient in the soup contributes significantly to the flavour of this dish. The yam and pork ribs were soft and tender, cooked to perfection!
- Tri Colour Rice
Tri colour rice contains an array of B vitamins, plus dietary fiber, protein and minerals. It also contains the highest levels of the antioxidant known as anthocyanin.
Tri color rice is well loved by brown rice connoisseurs, having a distinctive aroma and great taste, in addition to its higher nutritional value. The rice was not dry at all as compared to the other ones that I've eaten!
- Roselle Black Dates Drink
Lastly, we have the drink. The drink was fragrant with a subtle flora scent and the dates had a caramel-like taste to them. A cup of this will certainly make you feel recharged and fresh!

- Black Sesame Quinoa Rice
It seems these days, quinoa (pronounced KEEN-wah) is still all anyone talks about. Quinoa today is still considered a wonderful “superfood”! Quinoa is an amazing substitute for rice. With its subtle flavor profile and fluffy texture, the whole grain is super easy to spice up with different flavors, in this case, black sesame. The black sesame really gives the rice more flavour and complements the quinoa well.
- Scallop Xiao Bai Cai
I love xiao bai cai because is rich in antioxidants and can help prevent some types of cancer as well as protect the heart against illness. It is also rich in Vitamin C, Carotenoids, Folic Acid and Potassium. The crunchiness and sweetness of the xiao bai cai paired with the tenderness of the scallop make this an amazing dish.
- XO Prawn with Yam
The XO sauce offers a rich taste of umami and makes the dish really savoury and flavourful. The prawns were definitely fresh as they were juicy and crunchy! The yam gave the dish an additional level of texture which was delightful.
- Yuzu Honey Chicken
The roast chicken was tender and well marinated in the citrus, both spiking it with flavour and tenderising the meat. This dish has a perfect sweet to savoury ratio, with a fragrant hit of citrus.
- Wok Fried Bacon Brussels Sprouts
This is a spin on one of my favorite Sichuan stir-fries by replacing the traditional cauliflower with Brussels sprouts. They are wok-fried with bacon until crisp-tender. I am a big fan of brussels sprouts and this definitely didn't disappoint! The veggies were crunchy and savoury. Even if you are not a fan of brussels sprouts, give this dish a try and you might change your mind!
- Impossible Spaghetti Bolognese (vegan)
In case you didn't know, Impossible meat is a plant-based substitute for meat products. But trust me, they taste exactly like the real deal. For this dish, they've substituted beef for plant-based Impossible meat in the Bolognese sauce. I was pleased with the overall dish as the taste was not compromised at all even though there was no real meat.
- Black Pepper Wagyu Beef Cube
Moving on to my favourite one of them all ~ The bite-sized pieces of steak are caramelized and savory on the outside and tender and juicy on the inside. This dish features big juicy chunks of steak, which gives the dish more substance and a bold, beefy taste. The black pepper gives it a satisfying balance of tastes, textures, and colors.
- Mint And Lemon Marinated Salmon
Initially, I was a little confused when I heard that there's mint in this dish. However after tasting it, I was pleasantly surprised! This simple lemon & mint marinated salmon makes a super delicious treat of simple grilled salmon! The lemon and mint work to enhance the salmon flavor without overpowering it.
- Fish Soup with Tofu
A humble fish soup that will nourish the body down through to your soul! This soup is beautifully fragrant and delicious. The fish was tender and retained its natural sweetness. On the other hand, the tofu was silky smooth and melt-in-your-mouth delectable! Drinking this on a rainy day would be super comforting ~
- Osmanthus Coral Seaweed with Chia Seed or Lactation drink of the week
What’s the best dessert when you’re battling hot weather or just general internal heatiness? Jelly of course! Not just any jelly at that, but coral seaweed jelly that is jam-packed with a host of nutritional benefits and collagen. The dessert has a chewy, soft texture and delicate flavours that’s suitable for everyone, young and old. Also, they've incorporated chia seeds into the dessert. Chia seeds are among the healthiest foods on the planet. They’re loaded with nutrients that can have important benefits for your body and brain.
