This Hari Raya Season With Katong Catering Review

Hi! As we are in the month of Fasting for our Muslim friends, it also means Hari Raya is approaching!

Katong Catering got you covered for your Hari Raya Gathering with their Exclusive Hari Raya Menu, you are definitely in for a treat!

Their Hari Raya Mini Buffet set, its called Party Your Way (Petite) with Complimentary Safawi Dates, it serves up to 10 pax.

1. Bang-Bang Prawns!

First up, we have my personal favourite, "Bang-Bang Prawns!", the prawn is fried with the right amount of batter covering it.

Upon my first bite, I fell in love with it and the sauce drizzled on it brings the overall taste to a higher level.

Furthermore, the prawn is super fresh, meat is tender and you don't way to worry about the portion, Katong Catering is very generous with their serving, definitely more than enough for everyone.

2. Philly Chicken Cheese Steak

For our second dish, I would say it is a rather interesting dish but it is super addictive! You might be wondering what is Chicken Philly made of? It is actually thin slices of chicken meat sauteed with various seasonings. The Philly Chicken is covered with a layer of cheese, as the name suggests, Cheese Steak! Expect lots of cheese, if you are a cheese lover, this dish is definitely for you.

I would simply describe this dish as a scrumptious plate of quality chicken dish.

3. Gochujang Glazed Fried Seabass Fillet

If you are into Korean Food, you will more or less know Gochujang Seabass Fillet is a rather modern dish found in many restaurants.

The Seabass Fillet is fried to perfection with the moisture still locked in the flesh and it is drizzled with Gochujang, a sweet and spicy sauce with sesame. Theres a buttery flavour that will melt in your mouth upon each bite.

4. Garlic Ebiko Fried Rice

Firstly, the appearance of this fried rice is already eye-catching and it is full of flavours, I would say this is a hallmark of good fried rice, it is fried to the right consistency and all flavours are compacted together, every mouth gives you an abundance burst of flavours. It is ideal and suitable for all ages.

5. Chicken Yakitori Skewers

Next up, Chicken Yakitori Skewers, I am sure many of you are familiar with this type of skewers, it can never go wrong, in fact, it is highly addictive.

No doubt the Yakitori Sauce is the star of this dish, Yakitori sauce is usually a combination of umami and sweet flavours, I would say it is very similar to Teriyaki Sauce.

For the chicken, each bite yearns you for more because of the tenderness and the sauce goes super well with the meat.

There is nothing not to love about this dish. Moreover, it is easy to share when you have guests over because you can save the hassle of distributing the food.

6. Valrhona Orange Chocolate Cake & Mini Eclairs

Dessert Time! First, let's talk about the Valrhona Orange Chocolate Cake, it is super airy and it gives off a slight citrusy aroma that is suitable for all ages.

Got to warn you that it is highly addictive though, the chocolate is not too overwhelming no matter how many pieces you took.

Besides the Chocolate Cake, we have Chocolate Eclairs which is a classic dessert when it comes to family bundles.

The inside is filled with creamy pastry cream filling, not too sweet though, just nice for my liking. If you don't have sweet tooth just like me, you will definitely enjoy this.

7. Tofu and Mushroom Stir-Fry

Lastly, this dish is a common dish found in many Chinese households and I grew up eating this, personally, this is comfort food to me!

The appearance of this dish will definitely capture your attention with its vibrant colours from bell pepper, lettuce and carrot.

The taste of this dish matches up with the appearance of this dish, the tofu is aromatic and crispy, expect a 'melt-in-your-mouth' kind of effect from the golden mushroom.

The various ingredients incorporated accompany every ingredient very well, definitely a must-not-miss.
