CAKEINSPIRATION Review – White Rabbit Candy Chiffon Roll

Remember that white rabbit candy? The one where I’m sure many of us have tried to tear the rice paper out because we thought it was “plastic”. Yes, THAT White Rabbit Candy. It’s 2019, and everything is getting bigger and better, so CAKEINSPIRATION has turned the candy we have all come to love, into a dessert, introducing the White Rabbit Candy Chiffon Roll!
We were blessed to have CAKEINSPIRATION send us 2 variations of the White Rabbit Candy Chiffon Roll: The Original and Bandung Rose. The Original came in the regular size, that is 6-inches long and the Bandung Rose came in the mini size, which is 4-inches long.
So the questions are: Does it really taste like the White Rabbit Candy? Wouldn’t it be too sweet? Well let’s get right into it!
1. White Rabbit Candy Chiffon Roll- The Original

The Original was the regular sized chiffon roll, and its packaging… spot on! It looks very similar to the original white rabbit candy, with their own take on the design. I would give the overall presentation a solid 5/5!
We got to the cake the same way we would get to the sweet. Right off the bat, we could feel how soft the chiffon roll was as we were cutting it, and its cross-section revealed the white rabbit candy pudding curd, that was beautifully centered in the roll, surrounded by the white cream frosting.
CAKESINSPIRATION uses premium ingredients for all their bakes. And I must say, it really showed. The Original White Rabbit Candy Chiffon Roll tasted very milky! It was almost as if you were eating double-boiled milk pudding. The cake had a soft texture and the cream was so smooth. The white rabbit candy pudding curd also did not disappoint, it really tasted like the sweet!
To my surprise, the cake as a whole was light on the palate, even though it was so milky. So, for those who love milky desserts, and have a sweet tooth, this will be your new favourite dessert!

2. White Rabbit Candy Chiffon Roll- Bandung Rose

The Bandung Rose came in the mini size, and it had the same packaging, replicating the original white rabbit candy sweet. As expected, it was equally soft and fluffy. But this time, instead of white frosting, it was pink! And there was also a white rabbit candy pudding curd in the middle.
From the first bite, there is only one word to describe the taste: “flowery”. The rose flavour was prominent and together with the creamy-ness of the entire chiffon roll, it really replicated the Bandung drink that many of us love. However, the rose flavour might come off as a little too strong for some, as it did for some of my colleagues. But if you love Bandung, this chiffon roll would be perfect for you.
