Corine & Cake Review: The Bakery That Bakes The Cutest Cakes!

Deep down inside, I'm sure we're all a sucker for cute things.

And this is exactly what Corine & Cake has cleverly taken advantage of! They have appealed successfully to my sensitive side and have made me go literally "Awwww" with all their handmade cakes!

The first item we got was this Baby Full Month gift set!

This delightful set comes with 2 Red Eggs, 2 Cupcakes and 2 Cake pops! It also comes with a customized Baby card, where you can write your Baby's name and details to be presented along with the gift set to your guest!

The cupcakes we got were chocolate flavoured and they were utterly delicious! They were mini sized as well, so you don't have to worry about all those calories. Corine & Cake also provide 2 other flavour options - Red Velvet and Vanilla. You get to customise the cupcake colours according to the gender of your baby as well!

If you are looking to celebrating a Baby Shower, there is a gift set specially for that as well! This set comes with 6 cute dainty cupcakes and you are able to stamp your baby's name on the cupcake as well! Soooo cute!

We also love the packaging of these gift sets! Each box comes in a shade of Tiffany blue, along with a dolly paper decoration and a string that makes everything so elegant and rustic.

Next, we were given their Unicorn Cake to try! This was definitely our favourite out of all the bakes we got! The vanilla cake was really delicious, along with that surprise berry centre that went really well with the otherwise plain cake! We felt that the proportion of berry jam to cake was perfect - wasn't too sweet, yet enough to give the cake some character!

However, we felt that the meringue was not up to standard. It was really crumbly, grainy, overly sweet and  not crispy and melty like good meringues. We do have to admit that it makes the cake look good though!

The final cake we tried was this Rainbow Cake! This sponge was very different from the other cake which was heavier and denser. This cake was made with super light sponge, so light that we had to resist the urge to throw it around!

The sponge cake was incredibly soft and fluffy, and not too filling as well.

We also love how this cake comes with a really cute Rainbow Topper!

In all, Corine & Cake does bake quite lovely cakes that look really cute and they are one of the few cake shops that also cater to your baby celebration needs!
