Delcie’s review – Guilt-free, Vegan Cakes for any Occasion

Delcie’s review – Guilt-free, Vegan Cakes for any Occasion

The thought of vegan cakes and pastries may make many assume that the cakes would be dry and maybe even taste funny. This misconception is definitely a stereotype that needs to be broken, because Delcie’s will surprise you with their wholesome, vegan bakes. All of their food products are vegan, and there are also Diabetes-friendly, Gluten-free, Keto-friendly, Allergy-friendly and Baby-friendly options available as well to suit your dietary requirements!

If I were to be honest, this was the first time that I have tried any type of vegan dessert, and I must say as an avid fan of desserts, that this is the real deal. Not only are these healthier for your body, but you don’t have to sacrifice indulging in sweet treats in exchange for a healthy diet. That was the winning point in my books! 😊

Mud Fudge

Decadent, velvety and rich chocolate fudge cake, this Mud Fudge from Delcie’s is a winner. Especially if your preference is more on the slightly bitter end on the chocolate spectrum – a.k.a dark chocolate, you’ll be a fan of this slab of chocolatey goodness. The ganache is fully melted using 73% dark chocolate with dairy-free cream, so you can bet how much I enjoyed this slice.

This fudge cake can be consumed either warm or cold as well, so it’s up to personal preference – whether you want a gooey, melted warm chocolate fudge or a cooler, firmer version!

Mud Fudge is gluten-free & diabetic friendly.

Banana Fudge

First things first, I love love love banana cakes! This is the first vegan rendition I’ve tried, and I absolutely wasn’t disappointed. Simple yet satisfying, Delcie’s Banana Fudge delivers with the self-evident, moist banana cake layers accompanied by gooey chocolate fudge! Using all-natural organic ingredients, the sweet banana taste isn’t a product of artificial flavouring – which I was glad for.
Banana Fudge

I also admire Delcie’s for taking each ingredient used into consideration, in order to create the yummiest slice of wholesome goodness! If you are a fan of the chocolate and bananas combination, I’d recommend for you to try this out.

Banana Fudge is gluten-free.

Blue Forest

Blue Forest is a slice of blueberry layer cake, dotted with real, whole blueberries tucked between each spongy layer! The texture of the cake itself is slightly dense, moist and soft, while the taste isn’t overpowering or “jelak” – perfect if you’re looking for a cake that is safe to consume for your little one. When I first took a bite of this cake, I could already taste the freshness of the blueberries bursting with flavour!

Try out this fruity cake for yourself (and your baby) and indulge guiltlessly.

Blue Forest is baby friendly & diabetes friendly.

Red Forest

Yet another baby-friendly cake, Delcie’s Red Forest is for those who prefer juicy, red strawberries! I personally prefer this one, being someone who’d eat anything with strawberries in it. Thus, when I saw this slice of beauty, I couldn’t resist to take a bite! Similar to the Blue Forest cake, the fruit is incorporated into fresh cream between the vanilla sponge layers. What I liked about the cream that Delcie’s create, is that they don’t feel “heavy”. In fact, they’re light and definitely not surfeiting!

Up till now, I still couldn’t quite believe that all these cakes are vegan, because of how moist and flavoursome these cakes were!

Red Forest is baby friendly & diabetes friendly.

Vegan Keto Rochers Chocolate Gianduja Balls

When I first read its name, I was thinking in my head: “Is this a vegan version of the popular Ferrero Rocher?”

Turns out, it actually is! The Vegan Keto Rochers Chocolate Gianduja Balls is Delcie’s vegan rendition of this popular treat. At first glance, they are a deep, dark brown colour and a little bigger than the traditional Rocher balls. Nothing could have prepared me for that first bite of these rich, chocolate balls. The bitter cocoa taste was apparent throughout, and I really savoured it.

However, if you prefer milder, sweeter chocolates, this might be a little adventurous for you! As for me, I do prefer the intense chocolate flavour that’s slightly bitter, so this was really yummy. Not to mention, they’re packed in these little gold-coloured packaging that’s perfect for giving as a gift to someone. 😊

Vegan Keto Rochers Chocolate Gianduja Balls are low carb, gluten free, diabetes friendly.

Mini Pineapple Balls

When I first saw Delcie’s Mini Pineapple Balls, I was reminded of Chinese New Year season where I would go overboard with the amount of pineapple tarts I consume, probably more than what is considered healthy. These ones from Delcie’s are definitely a healthier version without the use of cane sugar, and I wished I knew about these ones back when I overstuffed myself with pineapple tarts!

Taste-wise, it’s all you’ll ever want out of a pineapple ball – the tanginess of the pineapple jam, that buttery taste of the pastry (without the use of actual butter, of course). You get all of this without compromising on your pineapple tart/ball craving.

Mini Pineapple Balls are diabetes-friendly.

Taste rating: 5/5

Order from Delcie’s today to enjoy a wide range of cakes & pastries that will suit your dietary needs – or for all the health-conscious folks out there! 😊
