FoodLine Kitchen: Banana Popiah

FoodLine Kitchen: Banana Popiah

Simple, sweet, super addictive. FoodLine Kitchen brings you Banana Popiah! Kinda like goreng pisang but neat and fuss free! A good sweet treat or an afternoon snack that will be loved by the young and not so young. This little batch I made was definitely not enough for the forever hungry monsters I call my family. Here’s how you can feed your very own!

Check out the video here:

All the ingredients you need:

Bananas

Popiah skin

Sugar

Water (to seal)

Oil (about 2 tbsp is enough)

Cut the bananas to be about finger-length and then slice them in half. Place the sliced banana in the center of the popiah skin and sprinkle some sugar. Roll it up nicely and seal with water.

If you want a crispy texture throughout, go ahead and deep fry the banana popiah. In my case, I just pan-fried it and it tastes just as good!
