FoodLine Kitchen: Fried Mee Suah

Do you like the fried mee suah kueh from Swee Choon? Here’s our own recipe and version of the mee suah kueh. It’s easy to make and would make the perfect afternoon snack! It will suit the palates of all ages, so share it with your family!

Here are the ingredients you need:

4 bundles of mee suah

Cabbage

Carrot

Garlic

4 cups of water

Seasoning of your preference

(here we used fish sauce, light soy sauce and pepper)

Cornstarch

Oil

Step 1: Fry garlic, cabbage and carrots together

Step 2: Add 4 cups of water and add the mee suah

Step 3: Fry on low heat until the mee suah is half coked and the liquid is more or less absorbed

Step 4: Pour the mee suah into a metal tin and let cool for at least an hr.

Step 5: Cut the mee suah into cubes

Step 6: Lightly coat the mee suah cubes with cornstarch

Step 7: Fry on each side until golden brown!

Dip the fried mee suah kueh into chilli sauce and enjoy!
