Being sick sucks, taking prescriptions from the doctors might cause drowsiness, and you still have a million errands to run throughout the day. Here is a list of foods you should eat for a speedy recovery! You can also take some of these foods occasionally, to keep your immune system strong as ever.
Chicken Soup

Probably the most common flu-recovery food. The ingredients found in chicken soup can help to reduce inflammation in the body. Chicken will also give your body protein! Chicken soup also helps with digestion and is soothing to the body, since your appetite can be affected when you have the flu.
Tea

Best to have ginger tea! Ginger helps to fight infections and sooths your throat. Hence, it will help to suppress coughing. It can also speed up your digestion process and empties your stomach.
Fruits

Specifically, fruits that are high in Vitamin C. These fruits would include citrus fruits, strawberries, tomatoes, papaya. Banana is also a good fruit to have. Bananas are lighter on the stomach and can help with symptoms like vomiting, nausea and diarrhoea.
Vegetables

Vegetables like broccoli can help to boost the level of Vitamin C and e in your body. It also contains lots of calcium and fiber. Same goes for leafy veggies like spinach and kale!
WATER

Sian. Water again. Every single time. Sorry, I’m sick of saying this too but water really helps! Make sure you drink lots of water throughout the day. It helps to flush out toxins and keeps your body cool!
Also, be sure to avoid crowded places to protect yourself and others! Try to eat at home whenever possible as well. If you need to order daily meals, or tingkat plans, www.foodline.sg is the place to go! Daily meal plan packages are available as well!
