If you are reading this, chances are, you don’t have a proper diet. And I agree, it’s not easy. We humans are funny creatures, to lose weight, we rather starve than have a bowl of salad. A bowl of leaves? No thanks, that’s for my guinea pig. Having the required amount of nutrition is important. It reduces the risk of sickness, like diabetes, eating disorders and heart related illnesses. It also improves heart health, and you will be able to lose weight naturally!
The key to having a proper and healthy diet is to not skip any meals, or starve yourself! That’s a simple first step, and yes, that includes breakfast. Skipping meals might cause you to gain more weight. Wonder why? Remember the extra servings you feed yourself during dinner because you told yourself it’s alright since you skipped lunch.? Yea that’s the cause.

So here are some simple but important tips to have a healthy diet!
1. Do not skip your meals
Have all 3 meals during the day! I know many of us do not have the habit of having breakfast in the morning, simply because it’s too early. But try it out, make the effort!
2. Swap out junk food for fruits or nuts!
Yes a pack of chips is more exhilarating that an apple or a handful of almonds. But fruits and nuts are packed with nutrients, while a pack of chips has no nutritional value at all!
3. Exercise
No time? Squeeze in little work-outs during your day! Take the stairs instead of the escalators or lifts. Have time to kill? Walk the longer route! Simple exercises in your bedroom counts as well.
4. Have your breakfast
You’ve probably heard people saying that breakfast is the most important meal of the day. Any reason why? Having breakfast would allow you to burn more calories throughout the day. Skipping breakfast is like telling your body that you want to conserve energy instead of burn calories.
5. Be Creative!
Having a healthy diet can be boring, so get creative with your meals so that you look forward to them!
