NOW Bakery Review

Feelin’ cakey? If you are looking for some amazing cakes and sweet treats, NOW Bakery is the one. We got the opportunity to try out some of their amazing cakes! From their Gula Melaka Coffee Blancmange and Almond Sesame Cake to their Hokkaido Cupcakes, every single bite was a delight. Ever had cakes that costs a million bucks and you hope it never leaves your body? No worries, NOW Bakery have reasonably priced their cakes, so all you want to do is stuff your face with their Hokkaido Cupcakes. Read on to find out more!

Gula Melaka Coffee Blancmange (18cm)

This was the first cake I tried out of the bunch and it really laid out the standard and quality that I was in for this entire review. You can almost never go wrong when you combine gula melaka and coffee flavours. But can you perfect it? NOW Bakery did it. And the centre portion of the cake, the blancmange, is so thick and packed with the aroma of coffee. For all coffee lovers and caffeine addicts, this cake is made for you.

Vanilla Blancmange (18cm)

For those that are not a fan of coffee, the Vanilla Blancmange would be your cup of tea hehe. The creaminess and smoothness of the blancmange has the right amount of sweetness to put a smile on your face but not too much to give you the sugar rush. It also looks and tastes premium!

Almond Sesame Cake (28cm)

The Almond Sesame Cake. Visually, it looks stunning. The sesame taste is prominent, and since it was topped with almonds, it gave a crunch to each bite. Even though I’m not a fan of almond cakes, I liked this one, and I think it would go well with a cup of tea! If you have elders at home, I’m sure that they will enjoy this cake too!

Pandan Cake (28cm)

This Pandan Cake was quite an interesting one. It was juicy. Weird right, but I loved it. It also had this old-school vibe to it. Its filling is made with Madagascar’s Vanilla Beans, so fancy! If you can’t decide what to get, you won’t go wrong with this Pandan Cake!

Classic Chocolate Cake (28cm)

NOW Bakery’s Classic Chocolate Cake is flawless and flourless. You can just imagine how rich this cake is, and it is significantly denser than the Almond Sesame and Pandan Cake. And even though it is 75% cocoa, it is not overbearingly sweet! The perfect cake for all ages!

Hokkaido Cupcakes (5pcs)

The best way to describe these Hokkaido Cupcakes are like clouds filled with custard cream. Its super fluffy and wait till you get to the centre to the cupcake, the best part, the custard cream. GOODNESS. I’ve had Hokkaido cupcakes, and this was easily one of the better ones out there! If you are buying these for your family, trust me, get more, you won’t want to share.
