PASTA MAMA MIA!

I’m in love. In love with pasta. LOL, that sounded sadder than I had imagined. But pasta! Endless variations, and can be served in gazillion ways. So everyone had thought that pasta originated from Italy. But many have said that it was originated in China, and Marco Polo had brought it to Italy in 1271. Did you know, that there are about 350 types of pasta?! You would have tried every single type in a year if you ate one type of pasta, every single day, for a year. That’s crazy to think about, but maybe I’ll jot that down as one of my hobbies for my retired days.
Here are some famous pastas, and when you should use each of them! I didn’t know there’s a time for the right pasta I just picked my favourite shape.
Angel Hair

This is probably one of my favourite type of pasta. I know, pretty basic. My friends said it looks like wanton mee, rude. But angel hair is long and thin, so it’s best to pair it with thin sauces!
Lasagna

This is another ingenious creation. Large, flat sheets of pasta, layered with sauce. So it goes lasagna, sauce, lasagna, sauce, lasagna, sauce, lasagna, sauce. It’s like layers of flavour-packed blankets!

Wow, I can’t pronounce that but its direct translation would be “small ears”, because it looks like small ears. When your sauce is thick, and juicy, this is the best pasta to work with.
Rotini

I can’t stop saying this word. Rotini. Rotini. Rotini. Rotini. Hold up, say it with an Italian accent, Rotini. Rotini. ROtiNi. Okay that’s enough. I love this pasta because it looks cute, like a screw, with its spiral shape. Now this pasta, is good with cream sauce. I love cream sauce. Tip: When you are out with your friend, always order one cream, and one non-cream based pasta. Reason being, you know you get tired of the sauce and your once amazing bowl of cream pasta, becomes dreadful to finish. So share my friends, have half the portion and you will never grow to hate cream pasta.
Cannelloni

This. I would love to try this one day. It’s a long tube, and stuffed with cheese. What? A cheese bolster? ! please thank you.

Following the cheese bolster, Cannelloni, a Ravioli is a cheese pillow. Small squared pasta pockets that are filled with cheese. Imagine taking a bite into them would be like a little cheese explosion in your mouth. Dare to dream guys. Other than eating them with sauce, you can try baking them! Crispy on the outside and explosive on the inside.
