TenEleven Cupcakes Review - Delicious Vanilla Strawberry Cupcakes!

Mondays pretty much suck. Other than having to wake up early to get to work and brave the rush hour, most cafes are closed on this dreary day too! (FOOD IS LIFE!)

However, I was all cheered up when I received these gorgeous cupcakes from TenEleven Cupcakes to review! I was super excited to dig into the four flavours given to me: Cookies & Cream, Matcha, Red Velvet and Vanilla Strawberry.

Cookies & Cream Cupcake

This cupcake is made out of a chocolate cake base and chocolate cookie buttercream! Out of the 4 cupcakes I tried, this cupcake was the sweetest due to the buttercream. So if you have a sweet tooth, this cupcake is perfect for you!

I felt that the cupcake was a little too dense for my liking. If you are a fan of denser textures, this cupcake is perfect for you!

Also, this cupcake is not the fudge-y type of chocolate cake which I appreciate (if you have been reading my posts, you would know I'm not a chocolate person). It sort of tastes like Twiggies, yum!

But if you are a die hard chocolate fudge fan, this might not be your kind of dessert.

Matcha Cupcake

Hooray for Matcha!

I really enjoyed this cupcake because it wasn't too sweet! You can really taste the natural bitterness of Matcha in the buttercream. This is the kind of buttercream you won't scrape off because it was just that perfect.

Red Velvet Cupcake

Cream Cheese is one of my favourite frostings!

This silky smooth cream cheese frosting was really good and again, not overly sweet. Yay!

The cake base on the other hand was a cake that tasted more like a chocolate cake than a typical red velvet one.

I was also hoping for a hidden nutella centre because there were specks of chocolate in the cake but it turned out to be just the cake :(

Overall, the cupcake was still good!

Vanilla Strawberry Cupcake (RECOMMENDED)

I saved the BEST for the last!

I am in love with this Vanilla Strawberry Cupcake and I would certainly come back for more.

This cupcake was frosted with a dollop of fluffy cream that had the perfect sweetness! (By now, you can tell how particular I am with the perfect sugar level in cakes. You would want cakes that are not tasteless but not too sweet to the extent of having diabetes)

Plus, it was topped off with fresh strawberry slices that were really yummy and sweet!

The cake once again was dense and a little plain, but when you combined these 3 components together, the Vanilla Strawberry Cupcake won my heart! (And it looks really cute too)

Overall, TenEleven Cupcakes do sell decent cupcakes. The cupcake texture could do with some improvements to become fluffier but I really enjoyed the Matcha and Vanilla Strawberry one which you guys should try!
