Whiskit Patisserie Review - Mouthwatering Ondeh Ondeh Tarts!

If you've never tried Whiskit Patisserie's bakes, you have been missing out on life!
Whiskit Patisserie makes a huge assortment of tarts, whole cakes and cute flower pot desserts that are aesthetically pleasing AND delicious.
We were given a selection of their best bakes to review and here is our verdict.

The first items we tried were their assorted tarts.
They had interesting flavours such as Kaya Ondeh Tart (which was our favourite) and Mango Sago Tart! Other more classic flavours include Chocolate Tart, Hazelnut Speculoos and Tart Kiu.

Their tart bases were consistent - every one of them delightfully crumbly and delicious.
For their chocolate based tarts such as Hazelnut Speculoos, Chocolate and Tart Kiu, the chocolate had a dark, intense and bitter flavour.

Our favourite Tart was the Kaya Ondeh Tart.
This unique creation consists of a tart base, kaya filling and tons of mini Ondeh Ondeh that would burst in your mouth! We really liked how well all the three components blended together and the sweetness was perfect.
The Kaya filling was not overwhelming and the gula melaka from the Ondeh Ondehs balanced everything out.

For those who like fruity flavours, try the Mango Sago Tart!
Each tart is 8cm and is great for a single serving.

Their last tart was the Lemon Meringue tart.
We have to admit that we preferred the previous flavours more but the torched meringue top was nice to bite into.

Aside from Tarts, Whiskit Patisserie makes slice cakes and whole cakes.
We were given Enchantment -Â Hazelnut dacquoise with a layer of raspberry creameux enveloped in earl grey infused milk chocolate mousse, topped with milk chocolate glaze.
This cake tasted as amazing as its description sounds.
The raspberry creameux was slightly sour and added a kick to the entire cake. It reminded us of raspberry frozen yoghurt! It went really well with the chocolate layers and fluffy soft cake.

Another "slice" cake option we received was the Mango Charlotte.
This cake was REALLY REALLY soft - made with Ladyfinger sponge, filled with bavarian cream and topped with fresh mangoes and a strawberry.

As for whole cakes, we managed to get the Greenie Cake.
This cake consists of  a biscuit with a layer of pulut hitam enveloped in matcha white chocolate mousse.
Pulut Hitam is an Indonesian sweet dessert made from black glutinous rice porridge with coconut milk and palm sugar or cane sugar.
This combination, though less common than Azuki Beans, was delicious.

We also really liked how the cake was decorated with berries, matcha powder and gold flakes. Simple yet beautiful!

The final item (the best for the last) is their super adorable Potted Matcha Tira!

This flower pot cake is perfect for party treats and you can bet your guests would be ooh-ing and ahh-ing at the sight of these babies!
The cake is made out of sponge laced with matcha syrup, layers of mascarpone mousse and dusted with matcha powder on top.
You can really taste the authentic bitterness of Matcha which we love.

Look how cute each "flower pot" is decorated! It looks exactly like a flower pot, with chocolate stone candies.
