My ordered homemade barley was wrongly delivered with fruitpunch that tasted more like diluted gauva post-mix. The guy who called to confirm my orders didn't mention anything about this being unavailable and there wasn't any notification that there is issue about the ordered item. The delivery guy only admitted that the barley wasn't available when I tasted the drink before signing off the delivery order.

Shell is stuck to the prawns and very difficult to remove, almost like it is very fresh.

Dishes came without any labelling.

Was told the warmer would have the fire on for 4 hours but it burnt out in less than 3 hours.

Summarized, extremely disappointing and a complete letdown.

Before placing order: A quick check over a phone call was done to Broson Catering about the packages and whether or not they have tie-ups with FoodLine.sg. They have confirmed the tie-up, but mentioned that if I were to order through FoodLine, I would have to pay a 7% GST (even though they were clearly a non-GST registered business) which makes ordering through FoodLine not the brightest of ideas. Shawn, from FoodLine has dismissed this matter as a miscommunication and confirmed that I do not need to pay the 7% GST, and there has never been a case like this despite many orders from Bronson as it is "one of the more popular caterers and is not a GST registered company". Naturally as the customer, the first thoughts which come to my mind was that Bronson may want the customer to order from them directly, to prevent costs incurred to FoodLine. Of course, it wasn't fair for any action to be taken based on my impression as the customer, so I waited and hoped that Bronson would deliver their promise to be "committed to deliver a memorable impression to your events, be it a casual family get-together, lavish private event or corporate functions." Certainly, it was memorable.

Arrival of food: For food catered for 30 people, it seemed like it was more for 30 kids having their midweek tea party with Teddy instead. The amount was simply pathetic. 6 small little compartments (excluding rice and beerage) makes disappointing an understatement. Most of the 28 guests present didn't dare to put an adequate amount of food on the plates for fear that the others would not have any left! The rest were simply too polite and rejected taking food. Still, the food were all gone in a jiffy. Except the rendang chicken, where they did not know what it was until a brave soul tasted it. The rendang sauce and the chicken were dry and less than palatable. Honestly, if I were to split the portions equally onto 30 plates, it does seem like there's just enough for 30 kids having a tea party with Teddy. For the drinks, a 2.5 gallon (9.5l) Cambro was provided. That leaves each guest with slightly over a measly 300ml, let's not count second servings. Thankfully I had extra drinks in case the cordial runs out. At that quantity, the beverage provided was never going to be the least bit sufficient. I'm sure it doesn't cost much more for them to have a little larger Cambro, does it? Definitely the least value for money experience ever as reflected above. Any worse, and I'd have rejected the catering without hesitation.

First impressions leave a lasting impression. Thus, Bronson will not be getting any orders from me or friends and acquantances who ask for catering recommendations. At this point in time, I still wonder if Bronson has provided less value than it should because of the referral fee to FoodLine. I do not wish to make any unsupported statements about the tie-up between FoodLine and Bronson or other caterers for it will be most unfair, but I do hope that FoodLine ensures that all caterers provide the value and service as promised to their customers.

I also hope that this review can be sent to Bronson as well to let them receive feedback of their service which has left me a very disappointed customer, and an utter letdown to my guests. I feel that I have been cheated, and that even if no form of compensation will be given, the least I can expect is an explanation. For now, I have lost faith in both FoodLine and Bronson until there is a compelling reason for me to regain that lost faith.

Have a good day.
