Food items ok but not value for money!

1. I ordered for 36 people and paid $808.80. Per pax is $20.80 with $60 delivery charges. To all my guests horror, the food is only enough for about 15 people with only 1 table with 6 medium-size warmers.

I wished I have taken photos of the food catered, as I was busy in other matters. Those guests who come 1 hour later have nothing to eat! Those who have eaten said they were not full and did not take all of the 9 types of food as they were worried that the food may not be enough for others.

2. In our past year orders with other caterers, we were always served with 2 tables, big warmers with generous servings and more than enough for 36 people (usually it is 36 + 10% more).

3. By comparison, past caterers served us 3 big sets of Prosperity Yu Sheng with better taste. Jiale served us only 2 sets and its taste is quite bland.

The Eu Fu noodle by Jiale is so watery and so little - enough only for 15 people. Most of us took only a few strands of it. The mushroom must be so little until most of us can't find it.

We also find so little sea cucumber in the braised duck with sea-cucumber catered by Jiale.

The Xiao Bai Cai with mushroom by Jiale is so starchy. There is no mushroom, but few pieces of carrots and corn.

The Pi Pa Beancurd - Jiale's signature dish is so oily and ugly looking and has no taste of beancurd.

The Fa Cai Deluxe Platter looks pathetic on a miserable metal plate. 12 small pieces of scallop, 12 pieces of ngoh hiang and 12 small pieces of fried po piah - enough for only 12 people!

The Yam with Ginko nuts is so starchy.

Only 1 dish is good - the Eight Treasure Chicken.

overall grading: Totally unsatisfactory. The worst food catered for our CNY! Of course I got lots of scolding and criticism from my family members and relatives - spoil my day ...

Value for money and Convenient. Will order again

Ordered the expensive FuGuiJiXiang set at $338 and side order of fa cai yu sheng for reunion dinner on CNY eve 18 Feb. Extremely disappointed with the food. The look of the dishes in the disposable trays were unappetising when delivered at around 5.15 pm. The portion for some dishes were not enough for 10 pax eg the deluxe platter. And quite a few of the dishes have gone sour in particular the brocolli dish and the crab meat fried rice. Extremely disappointed with the food.

We're satisfied with the food & service.

Buffet arrived one hour earlier. Service was not bad, serving was generous. Although it stated that it's for 8 to 10 pax but it certainly can feed up to 12! Confirmation was quite fuss free. Caterer bothered to call and check prefered flavour for the log cake. Will consider ordering from them in future.

Overall food portion was more then sufficient, except for a few dishes like Sotong Balls & Prawn.
Sweet yam had mixed reviews though, with some commenting that it was too sweet & others commenting that it was just nice.
Drinks however were insufficient for my guest list of 60 pax, i was only given one single drinking point. Resulting in the drinks running out halfway through the function.
But on the whole it is very value for money
Service & setup of the buffet area was excellent. The customer service & setup crew were very accommodating despite my various request.

Flexible services in changing some of the dishes not listed in the list. Good services provided for enquires. Changed Yam Ring to Satay. But as satay is so convienence to eat, thus numbers of satays can be given more or advised number of sticks, so we can pay if needed to increase the numbers of sticks needed to cater for our guest. Pork Rib is hard , not tasty. Thai Spring Roll ; vege taste a little raw inside. Pineapple rice and Ee-fu noodles, fish fillet are good. Chicken Curry and Pandan Chicken is tasty too. Broccoli cooked just nice. Bobo Cha cha not nice. Overall Portion for finger food are limited, but nice food after all except a few.

Overall service is pretty good, came before arranged time even though it raining and thoughtfully think of best way for setting all our buffet corner.
