Lao Huo Tang Catering

1st time trying Chinese buffet with this caterer. Food is nice, their soup also very nice. Good for kids and adults too. Will consider them again. Good service also.

Food was good.
Service is not good AT ALL.
Request to set up 5pm as Guests arriving at 6pm. Was ensured more then 2 times regarding set up time.
Actual day, 5pm, no sight of food, Whatsapp the number given,
- 5plus, was told driver on the way and ensured set up can be done by 6pm.

- 6pm, still no sight of cater, called the in charge, refuse to pick up but yet can reply me whatsapp. Was told driver is real close of reaching given by company GPS tracking. TOTAL call in charge 8times but did not pick up at all.

- Cater reached around 6.45pm.

What's worst, only 1 person to set up everything. Do remember my guests all arrived and asking why the food did not arrived yet. To get everything set up ASAP, even my FATHER and friends have to help uncle to carry the food, set up table to have the food be ready ASAP.

VERY TERRIBLE SERVICE no NO TIME MANAGEMENT. It's very embarrassed for me to have the guests all waiting for the food.

Good customer service, prompt delivery timing, generous portion for 6 pax. Tasty food, though some dishes a bit saltish

This was my first order online for CNY Reunion Dinner. There was so many worries popping up mind...
Luckily all worries vanished once the foods came on time.
Thank you for the prompt delivery (by a sweet family). For the foods all my family members love it except for the veggies (broccoli), its way too hard quite a disappointment as we have lots of veggies lover here... maybe next time there's more choice to choose for veggies!
Overall it's a good deal and a great experience to order reunion dinner online with Lao Huo Tang Catering, will be back again!

Food was good and price was decent. Just nice for about 7 pax but few of us were small eaters so I would say the quantity can be better (especially if its catering style there would usually be a 5-10% extra portion).

There was an issue where the outlet was informed that food collection began at 4.30pm. Mine was at 6pm and arrived to collect at 5.45pm. As such when I arrived the food was cold.

I was quite worried about the food safety and had to negotiate with the staff for a new batch of food and not just a reheat (since food had been left at room temp for close to 1.5 hours). The staff was not very willing but eventually agreed to my request.

Hope that Lao Huo Tang can work on streamlining/better coordination between sales staff and kitchen/restaurant staff. The staff showed me her invoice and it did state that food collection is 4.30pm to 6pm. However on my invoice it stated 6pm only.

Selected self collect at 530pm. Food was all packed and ready when I reached. The soup and dishes still warm when we took the food at 630pm. Food was sufficient for 8 adults and 3 children( ages 5 to 10). The photos were taken after we finished our dinner. Still a lot of leftover. Dishes are quite good, would have been better if price is lower.

Delivery is prompt, the caterer called a few times to confirm the order so it gives you assurance that no hiccup will be anticipated, which is good. Food is good overall, very generous portion so good for hosting big group. Disposable cutlery, dishware, tongs, garbage bags are provided so it makes hosting an easy experience foodline

Food portion is very generous. Delivery was on time. Food was good for the festive occasion. Thumb up.

We were very pleased with the amount of food and that everything was provided for, very thoughtful! Our only gripe was that the soup was unfortunately a bit too salty, though flavourful, and the Broccoli dish lacked the use of salt. However, we were happy with the rest of the food :)
