Lao Huo Tang Catering

The food are good but already cold and not able to heat up except the soup.
Fish already harden and do really can enjoy much.
Generally still acceptable.

Service was good. I had several questions and made some changes, the sales exec was very patient in helping me. Delivery was punctual. Food was generally good, except that the dessert was on the sweet side, but the sales exec had already informed me.

The food was cold when it arrived. There was insufficient soup and not everyone managed to try it. Last year, the caterer provided additional tub of soup.

The food is food. but d delivery man left out d fish sauce & he had to return again to pass us d sauce.

The soup (Buddha Jump Over the Wall), which is their specialty, was already lukewarm when it arrived. Unlike other dishes, there is no induction heater to keep the soup hot at all times. The soup can definitely taste better if it is kept heated at all times.

Other dishes were decent/passable, but it is quite evident that the dishes were mass prepared many hours earlier as they appear off-colour/soggy.

Though I can understand the huge orders on their list due to CNY Day 2, they can definitely do better for the premium pricing that was charged during CNY.

1) food arrived 6.30pm (time requested was 5pm) and wasn't informed of the delay.
2) portion of food was very small. Catered to 15 pax but portion was more like for 6-8 pax.
3) rather embarrassing cos her guests were hungry because of the delay and food was insufficient.

Veri bad delivery service... ordered at 11am and came at 12.50pm! My guests were all waiting and embarrassing for me as a host.

Soup is too little foe 15 pax as well.

Good and yummy food. Have ordered a few times for our corporate events. So far we feel everything is good. we like it and we shall recommend to others for future gatherings or catering.

Ordered the $23.90 mini buffet menu based on the good reviews. I was told by the contact person that the food items are cooked and delivered from the restaurant directly.
The disposable cutleries etc was in a reusable bag with Lexin branding on it .
Presentation of the dishes were good. However, of the 8 items, only the soup item (Buddha Jump Over the Wall) is delivered hot. The rest of the items are not even warm (feels like it was cooked at least an hour before delivering over). I have only tried the soup dishes from Lao Huo Tang before and it is still good so far. The pandan chicken and steamed prawns (though on dry side) is still quite tasty even when cold. Food portion is on small side for sweet and sour fish, and prawn rolls may taste better if they are crispier.
Messaged the contact person right after checking the food items and feedback they are cold and there is no response at all. :(
