Mei Hao 99 Catering

All my guests enjoyed the foods and I'll definitely order from them again for my future events.

P.S: They forgot about my dessert, however they delivered it just before my event starts. Awesome service.

Good comments from guests.

Received very good feedback from my guests that the food was good.

Everyone likes the fried beehoon and curry chicken and the food is still warm upon arrival.

They were very quick to take your order, to get your sales. On the actual day, my vegetable dish broccoli with scallop was replaced with broccoli with mushrooms. Even though I wasn't happy at the wrong order, I paid up still as I needed food (I only had 1 vegetable dish) and did not request for any change in dishes on the day itself.

I sent an email to Tessa of MeiHao 99 on Sunday to highlight to her the issue of being served a wrong dish but received no reply at all. Today is Wednesday, I called them to follow up. All Tessa could reply was she will "get back to you". When I asked her when she will be able to get back to me, she said "maybe end of next week" when her manager returns. I was surprised and very disappointed in her lack of initiative to acknowledge to my email. All I needed to know is if anyone is checking on why the wrong food was delivered, and if rectification could be done.

I don't recommend anyone ordering from MeiHao99. I can cook better tasting food than them.

Good food. Family members and guest like the food and will order again for future events.

Simple buffet set up

Delivery was prompt and efficient. Good service provided and fuss free. Guests enjoyed the food, especially salad prawn and stewed porn.

Food portion is ok. Enough for my guests.
Food taste is normal.

Dislike:

1) Website says choose any 4 Items, I chose Prawn Paste Chicken and Fried Chicken Wings. Caterer called and say "cannot".
I suggest to state the terms clearly on website then.

2) Dessert: Almond Jelly is filled with 80% syrup and 5% longan and 5% almond jelly (which I thought would be rather cheap to make). The syrup seems thickened). At the end, it there were 80% un-touched.

3) Apple Strudel is dry. Could use more fillings.

4) Drink: Soursop drink is too diluted. Cannot even taste "sour sop".

5) Chocolate Eclair is really counted as 1pc/pax. Which is usually unlikely that guest will take just 1 piece.

I ordered 60pax amount for 35 guests. And in the end, the chicken wings and eclair still ran out before the event ends.


Like:

a) Mee Tai Mak - VERY NICE. EXCELLENT. Moist, tasty and generous with toppings.
b) Bee Hoon - VERY NICE. Generous with toppings. Tasty!

I'll definitely ORDER the above two main dishes in future.

c) Chocolate Eclair - speaks for itself if it is the first to run out. Good fillings. Not too sweet. Yummy!

d) Chicken Wings - though soggy (unavoidable), it is still tasty and enjoyable. (If wings are bigger in size would have been terrific).

e) Egg Tarts - mixed review. I found the crust dry, but I have several guests that like it.


SERVICE - EXCELLENT.
On TIME, and Keeps customer updated on time of delivery via SMS.

Would I use Mei Hao 99 Catering again: YES YES YES. Though I will select some other food type based on this 1st experience.
