Pines Food Delight

Laksa whole grains vermicelli's gravy is too thick for laksa, more like for mee rebus and the taste is not authentic. Caterer changed the dessert to cheng tng without informing nor providing food tag for a different item. Food arrived at 10.30am for setup when arrangement for it to be ready was 12pm-12.30pm

Service is good. The food was generally good. The flavours were a little bland because it is the healthier menu and the rice paper rolls seemed a little stale. Having the sugar separate from the soya milk meant that some did not know the sugar was meant to go into the soya milk.

Love the presentation and the packaging.

The skin for Vietnamese Rice Paper Roll is too soft thus doesn't look presentable. Otherwise, it tasted quite good.

Should offer a presentable display ornaments (eg. fake flowers with vase which will not cost much) even though catering did not exceed the required amount.

The date was booked wrongly, it should be Sunday instead, so when vendor called to confirm, was managed to change the date on time. Good service given...
Unfortunately, there is no display deco for table setting such as a flower arrangement to brighten up the settings! Even if it is an artificial flowers where u can reuse & recycleable is good.

Food was okay but a little bit cold

One of the worst nightmare with caterer is they arrived late, and this is what happened exactly at our CNY lunch. The delivery men arrived late for the event and did not even bother to apologize. On top of that, the tangerine sparking juice was being changed to fruit punch (although the label still shows tangerine sparking juice). Won't consider using this unreliable caterer again.

Terrible caterer and horrible experience. Buffet was supposed to be set up and ready to consume by 6.30 pm but was delivered late and only ready around 7.30 pm. As a host it was a real embrassment to keep all my guests hungry especially children.

But that's not the worst. One of the dish - mee siam, wasn't delivered at all and the delivery guy told me "their boss" was on the way delivering it and will reach in 5 mins. In the end the mee siam only reached near 9 pm when all my guests were about to leave. And it wasn't "the boss" who delivered it but the same delivery guy who had to went back to pick it up (which causes further delay). Unsurprisingly this dish was almost untouched and most of it ended up in the trash bag.

For all these service lapses they were unapologetic and have the audacity to collect full payment from me.

Food and service are generally good enough except the log cake which is sub-standard based on feedback.
