Pines Food Delight

The caterer indicated 11.00am in their internal invoice (written by hand and without my knowledge) and had the food set up by about 10.45am which was too early, because my order confirmation was for 11.30am. Because of that and partly because of the wind at the venue, the food was cold by about 12pm (when majority of the guests arrived) though there were 2 burners for each dish (claimed to last 3 hours but they didn't). I believe the food would have tasted much better if they were warm, especially for the Nonya laksa.

Good and reliable caterer.

Buffet timing is 5.30pm and it came at 6. This is reasonable but someone should have at least contacted me to inform. No one is reachable at the office or mobile line. Bad service. Food is cold. Portion is not enough.I ended up having to buy more food from the coffeeshop. No forks or spoons are provided. One guest have a serious tummy ache during the party, unsure whether it is caused by the food or not though.

The food is pretty good but the quantity is way too little, especially the spaghetti.

Sauteed vegetable - turns sour
Seafood lollipop - nice
Chipolata sausage - nice
Nutty butter rice - dry, tasteless (portion was too little for 10 pax)
Choco Yule log cake - nice (too small for 10 pax)

The food would be awesome if it is warm. Other than that, service was alright, value for money. The desert was too sweet. Nevertheless, we enjoyed the food on that afternoon.

Extremely disappointed and unlikely to order again.

1) When first ordered thru Foodline- an email will be sent to us to say it will be confirmed only upon caterer contacting us. I have ordered from other caterers before and this was always the case. For theirs, i waited and no one called till i had to call to check on my order. Already bad first impression.

2) No proper checking before sending me confirmation email. Mine was clearly self collection and then they still charged me delivery fee. Second bad impression.

3) I asked for microwavable container as i heard they only give in aluminium foil. She said would provide me one or two just in case i need to reheat food. On that day, no
Microwavable plastic container provided.

4) Imagine u choose self collection and reached there promptly and they tell u sorry one item - Swiss Roll did not arrive yet as it was from elseswhere. They shld have managed and ensured it wld arrive isnt it? Then in the end say will deliver to our house by 6.30pm. My party was 6pm and they only brought the swiss roll just before 7pm. Not professional to me. Worse was swiss roll was too dry and cut thickly.

5) Ordered for 15 pax and the portions of rice and fish all too small. Fish was too salty and exactly 15pc. So much so i had to quickly cook some white rice for buffer.

6) All the food was cold and in terms of colour wise (chix and fish esp was cooked a while ago that the sauce look like it dried up. Colours hence dun look appetizing when we plated the dishes

My first and last time.

Korean Spicy Sesame Fried Chicken - we did not receive the sauce for this. So it turned out to be just fried chicken though it still tastes good.

Baked Spanish Seafood Rice - can be improved.

The others are ok but the presentation of the food can be better.

Food was delicious everyone loves it! staff was friendly and helpful.
We were very impressed with the full setup.

Delivery was on-time, food was of decent standard, caterer exercised flexibility to adjust to our requirements - definitely value-for-money.
