The Great Ballroom review

THIS IS A VERY GOOD CATERING WHERE THE FOOD ARE CREATIVE AND FRESH TO EAT. Definitely a good recommendation.

The food quality is really amazing and the portion is generous. it's one of the best sTingkat service I've ordered.

The quality of food is inconsistent. Some days the dishes were "so so" like other cheaper Tingkat food. On some other days, the dishes were good quality like "restaurant" dishes. For the pricing, I would expect consistency.

So far one of the best tingkat I tried. Got a few times the delivery was late, but they have a dedicated WhatsApp line for you to check on the status and quite responsive. However, price wise I think I am willing to pay if only they continue to have ... More the 50% off promotion. Else might not be worth it.

The tingkat meals are good alternative for my dad meal requirements & they taste like home cooked food. Eating out isn’t always healthy & can be more expensive. Since I’m going to spend that money, I may as well consider healthier meal options ... More for my dad.

The food consistency is really not there. They will give u seafood for the first 5 days of ur subscription, after that it will be fried frozen item everday.

Good Seafoods and is a good buy and if you want fresh seafood this is the one to go and amazing seafood offering and a good buy

I enjoyed our first 2 days of meal, but the quality and quantity deteriorated after that. The quantity was halved, and in one of the trial days we didn’t receive our desserts & food were packed into smaller containers.

There was an error in ... More the system, hence we did not receive our food on one of the days. The lady was apologetic as they have accidentally terminated our subscription early.

I would encourage The Great Ballroom to improve on their food consistency and be more organised. I am sorry, I would not recommend your service to anyone.

2nd order as they are running the 50% off promo again.
After discount, it is still more than double of normal tingkat price.
Overall the dishes look appetizing and taste good, though 1 or 2 dishes may get too salty on some days.
I find it closer ... More to home cooked meals instead of restaurant standard.

Basically you will get
- 1 vege (greens stir fried with mushrooms & carrots, topped with mini abalone / pacific clams)
- 1 seafood (prawns/fish)
- 1 meat (usually braised meat)
- 1 soup (with a lot of pork ribs/chicken)
- 1 dessert (usually Chinese 糖水, occasionally fruits)

On the 7th day, the dessert was missing. The food taste, portion and ingredients were apparently different (refer to photo).
I contacted foodline but foodline mentioned the caterer would liaise with me directly.
In the afternoon, the caterer told me that the meals I received for the previous 6 days were incorrect (as their staff entered into system wrongly), also the menu shown on foodline was wrong, and I should pay more to continue the "premium meals".
Due to the caterer's unprofessional manner, I contacted foodline again, requested to cancel the meal plan.

I wasn't able to cancel the meal plan, and the communications continued till late afternoon. Several phone calls were made, much time was wasted because of their messy workflow and poor communication structures (staff were not informed/confused about the 50% promo).

"There is nothing in the world that good food cannot fix." The food sent on subsequent days did help to wipe off the disappointment. Hopefully as a food caterer, they would improve their SOPs and staff training to minimize any kinds of mistakes.

Food tasted average, and mostly repetitive. Tasted mostly like zhichar. Likely will not order again if there is no promo.
