"Cannot expect too much for the price paid"

The food taste is average and since delivery was too early, food was already cold when guests arrived. Sweet sour pork and fish with onion/ginger became soggy with the sauce as well. Would be better if the sauce was set aside separately for us to ... More pour in later when consuming.
I ordered for 25 pax with only 22 people and about half consists of elderly and kids but from the picture (after 2 pax has taken the food) you can tell that the quantity is definitely not for 25 pax. All items are pathetic servings especially prawn and Ngo Hiang like only 1pc per pax. Lucky there are 2 trays of rice and curry each and hence just enough with only some curry left over. Curry has more potatoes and meat was not alot with some just bones with abit of meat.
Last weekend, I attended another birthday gathering where my sister ordered 30pax with 35 guests from another caterer and half of the attendees are the same crowd as mine, she still have alot of left over food despite hers had setup so the food is still warm and taste better. Her curry have lots of chicken drumlets and just nice amount of potatoes.
As a consolation, I can only say you can expect too much for the price paid.
However, failed minimum expectation where at least quantity must be sufficient.
