The food from Xin Yi Pin Catering was awesome and it made our event a very pleasant experience. The delivery arrived right on time as scheduled, which really helped with the smooth flow of our gathering. The staff who came to set up the buffet were ... More friendly, polite and efficient. They handled the setup quickly and ensured everything was arranged neatly before the event started, which we really appreciated.
I ordered the buffet for about 30 pax and the portions were more than sufficient for everyone. In fact, there was still some food left at the end of the event, which shows that the catering company was quite generous with their serving sizes. The variety of dishes also gave our guests plenty of options to choose from.
One of the must-try dishes was definitely their signature curry chicken. The curry gravy was rich, fragrant and full of flavour. The potatoes were soft and absorbed the curry nicely, while the chicken pieces were tender and well cooked. It was one of the most popular dishes among the guests and many of them went back for second servings.
The Sin Chow Bee Hoon was also well prepared. It was neither dry nor overly oily, which can sometimes happen with fried bee hoon. The texture was just right and it paired well with the other dishes on the buffet table. The wheat prawn was another highlight, as the prawns were fresh and the crispy coating added a nice crunch to the dish.
The breaded fish and prawn paste chicken were slightly on the dry side, but they were still acceptable and enjoyable overall. For the desserts and drinks, the chilled Cheng Teng, fruit punch and mango pudding were refreshing and not overly sweet, which many of us appreciated.
Overall, it was a very satisfying catering experience. The food quality, portion size, punctual delivery and friendly service all made a good impression on us. I would definitely consider ordering from Xin Yi Pin Catering again for future gatherings or events.
