We ordered the no-setup package. Food arrived on time and there was no spillage, with disposable cutlery, but no tongs or serving spoon provided.
Food in general were rather disappointing especially the curry chicken, sambal baked fish, Luo Han Zai ... More (veg) and the salted egg sotong.
Most guest commented for the sambal baked fish, both the fish and sambal sauce were rather tasteless.The fish didn't seem like they were baked (totally pale in colour) and looked more like steamed and topped with sauce.
One of the most anticipated food was the signature curry chicken. However, the chicken meat had a strange odour, the potatoes tasted raw/undercooked and the curry gravy was underwhelming (a thick layer of oil). More than half of the curry chicken was left and thrown away.
The vegetables in the Luo Han Zai were rather undercooked, and didn't look appetising (refer to the picture). Mostly cabbage and lacked the usual ingredients like beancurd skin and vermicelli. Guests hardly touched the dish.
The batter on the salted egg sotong was soggy and not crispy at all.
The enjoyable food were the dessert, honey sea coconut with longan and the FOC cream puff.
Overall, a big disappointment for us and all the guests. It was an embarrassment for us as host for what was supposed to be a joyous occasion.
