4 Things You Can Do At Home During COVID-19

4 Things You Can Do At Home During COVID-19

Are you stuck at home because of the Covid-19? Due to the recent ‘Circuit Breaker’ that the government has implemented, most of us are staying at home with our family members. However, do you feel bored sometimes even though it is just the first week of the Circuit Breaker? Let me share with you 4 things you can do at home during this period.

  1. Bond with family (Activities)

There are many bonding activities that you can do with your family to build a stronger bond within the family. Many people might feel that bonding requires lots of effort and time but it is not true. Bonding can be simple and quick which does not require you to leave home at all. Baking cookies, watching movies at home, playing board games or even just having a simple dinner together could improve the relationship among the family members.

  1. Learn skills at home

Learning skills is really essential for everyone as it can differentiate yourself from others. Therefore, during this period you can make use of the time at home and learn something new! Some skills that can be learned at home include coding, photography, languages and even musical instruments if you have it at home. Personally, I have been learning guitar at home since the start of the Circuit Breaker.

  1. Catching up on your sleep debts

Sleep debt is actually the difference between the amount of time you require for sleep and the hours you are actually sleeping. Most of us who are living a hectic lifestyle will mostly sleep for 6 to 7 hours every day. But do you know experts recommend to sleep at least 8 hours per night? Therefore, we lose at least 1 to 2 hours of sleep every night. The good thing about sleep debt is that it can be repaid. It would not happen instantaneously if you sleep for 24 hours a day but taking extra 1 to 2 hours of sleep could help in the long run.

  1. Exercise At home

With all the gym closed now, a lot of people take it as an excuse to not exercise. However, there are actually lots of different exercises you can do at home. For example, making use of the items at home such as water bottles which can act as dumbbells and using chairs to assist you in doing squats. Therefore, everyone should start exercising especially during this crucial moment to increase your immune system.

With so many things you can do at home, you would not feel bored anymore!
