5 Kitchen Hacks to Become a Better Chef

5 Kitchen Hacks to Become a Better Chef

Those who cook will know that cooking can be disastrous. Especially during the Circuit Breaker, more and more people are starting to cook at home. They will realise that chaos is about to begin, oil splattering all over on you, meat getting burned all the time or even hurting yourself when preparing the ingredients. Here are 5 Hacks you can use to become a master chef!

1. Make a Dip in the Centre of Your Meat Patty to Reduce Cooking Time

Every time you start frying your meat patty, it always takes up a lot of time and effort to check that it is cooked well. Making a dip in your patty helps to create a thinner patty in the centre so that the patty can be cooked much faster. This is a time saving hack that reduces the chance of eating rare meat or burned meat.

2.Cutting Cakes Using Dental Floss

Have you always been cutting cakes with a knife but end up having unproportioned slices? This hack can help and give you perfect slices of cake, all you need is a dental floss. Firstly use the floss to mark the edges you are cutting and slowly drag down the cake and you will end up with a perfect cut. Repeat the steps and you will end up with perfect slices of cake. Try it!

3.Use 2 Plates to Cut Cherry Tomatoes

If you are planning to make a salad for lunch and you need a lot of cherry tomatoes, you can just put them in between the plates and cut them. Just one movement and all your cherry tomatoes are sliced into half.

4.Freeze Leftover Broth in Ice Cube Tray

Do not throw away leftover broth, you can store them in the freezer and it can last up to a week. The good thing about putting it in an ice cube tray is that you can choose the amount you require and keep the rest back in the freezer. So easy!

5. Peel Ginger with Spoon

Are you using a peeler to skin the ginger? Use a spoon instead! No need for a special tool to de-skin this oddly-shaped root. Since the peel is fairly thin, simply scrape a metal spoon down the side and you are done.

With this cooking hack you will be able to save lots of time while cooking.
