Chicken Rice is one of Singapore's most popular dishes, you can find them in almost every coffee shop, hawker centre and even in some hotels. Chicken Rice is made up of steamed chicken, fragrance rice, chili and ginger paste. However, sometimes the chicken can be served roasted or braised in soy sauce. Some famous places to try the Chicken Rice are Hua Kee Chicken Rice, Yishun 925 Chicken Rice and Tian Tian Hainanese Chicken Rice.
Roti Prata

Roti Prata is crispy on the outside, soft and chewy on the inside. It is an Indian inspired flatbread made by stretching the dough and tossing it around which allows it to be fluffy. It is usually served with fish or mutton curry. One of my favourite places is the Sixth Avenue Biryani Specialist which I always go to with my friends.
Laksa

Laksa is a spicy noodle soup popular in Peranakan cuisine. Laksa consists of thick wheat noodles or rice vermicelli with chicken, prawn and sometimes even fish. There are mainly two kinds of soup based, one of it is the spicy curry coconut milk or the sour asam. “D’laksa” is one of my go-to laksa stores as I prefer sour asam soup based and it is convenient to buy with 30 outlets around Singapore.
Nasi LemakÂ

Some of you might have seen or heard of Nasi Lemak. Traditional Nasi Lemak is made up of coconut milk rice served with sambal chili, cucumber and fried anchovy. Nowadays, we have more side dishes like fried chicken wings, eggs, hotdogs and more. The most popular Nasi Lemak store that I know will be at Changi Village Hawker Centre called Mizzy Corner Nasi Lemak. Do try it!
