Ah Ma Lor Mee Review - Heartwarming Bowl Of Goodness

The well-balanced thick gravy harmonises the tastes of spices, garlic, and other ingredients, and it’s sure to make you slurp down this bowl of goodness. Unlike the ones in other Lor Mees, its flavourful gravy is not too starchy and has a good consistency to it. You could finish slurping a bowl without feeling too full. Piling on a dollop of minced garlic and chilli adds further depth to the dish as well. Aside from the usual ingredients of ngoh hiang, braised egg, and more, every bowl also comes with a side of deep-fried meatballs. The meatballs add a much-needed crunch and scrumptious fragrance to the gravy.

Cooked for hours with pork ribs and prawn heads, the broth was incredibly tasty. To add on, the broth was thick and full-bodied, very comforting! The prawns were chunky and tasted fresh; while the pork ribs were fall-off-the-bone tender. We finished every drop of broth because it was THAT good.
