D’Fine Catering CNY Menu Review – Most Worth It Buffet!
With reunion dinners being one of the key aspects of CNY, it is important that your family and guests are served with the absolute best.
Today, we will be reviewing D’Fine Catering Services’ Treasure Deluxe Menu which serves 10pax. This 8-course menu is definitely value-for-money! Read on to find out why!
1. Imperial Abalone Lo Hei Platter 鸿运贵妃鲍捞鱼生

What’s CNY without the quintessential yu sheng? It is amazing how the yu sheng is included in the menu itself, without having to add on! D’Fine is offering luxurious Imperial Abalones as the yu sheng’s toppings. After having a lou hei session with my colleagues, we savoured the well-mixed yu sheng. All the ingredients tasted really crunchy and yummy together!
2. Wok-Fried Rice with Smoked Duck & Cashew Nut 玉皇熏鸭腰果黄金炒饭

This is such a simple yet aromatic dish. Every grain was fluffy and flavourful. The dish was masterfully wok-fried along with various other ingredients such as eggs, smoked duck and cashew nut.
3. Fortune Herbal Chicken Divine 珠光宝气帝皇藥材鸡

Just like what its name suggests, it really is DIVINE. A dish that is favoured by the young and old, the herbal chicken is both healthy and extremely flavourful. The chicken was well marinated as it absorbed the goodness of the herbs. The texture of the meat was firm and tender!
4. 100 Flowers Blossoms w/ Yam Bit 百花齊放西兰花炒算盘子

Anyone else a fan of suan pan zi?? It is an auspicious dish that is popularly served during the lunar new year as the ROUND yam abacus represent reunion and signifies wealth and prosperity. I love how yam abacus seeds were added into an ordinary broccoli dish. It really gives it an extra oomph! The broccoli was crunchy and maintained its natural sweetness. The carrot and mushroom added different levels of texture to the dish.
5. Japanese Teriyaki Salmon Fish Fillet 吉祥日本照烧三文鱼片

The salmon fillet is cooked until tender perfection in a robust teriyaki sauce. The texture of the fish was flaky and juicy. The teriyaki sauce really complemented the salmon fillet and elevated the dish.
6. Creamy Mayo Prawn 欢天喜地奶油虾

Mayonnaise and prawn go perfectly together. The overall dish was creamy yet light! There will be no jelak feeling when you eat this! The prawns were fresh and had a nice QQ texture. The addition of fruits and veggie gave the dish an extra crunch, which was delightful.
7. Luxurious Yam Ring with Seafood (DF) 万紫千红海鲜芋圈

Do you need any further introduction to yam ring? I guess not. It is such a common favourite among us. The yam ring itself was crispy but not too oily or thick, the yam paste was smooth and creamy, and the accompanying ingredients such as the medley of seafood and veggie were fragrant and crunchy.
8. Deluxe Mini Pastries 甜甜蜜蜜糕拼盘

What better way to end off a meal than to indulge in dessert? The different types of pastries include eclairs, cake rolls and cream puffs. The pastries were just the right amount of sweet and they were all really light and fluffy!
