Food Evolution – Irresistible Xmas Treats!
Who else is counting down to Christmas? It’s time to treat yourself and your loved ones this jolly season. In this article, I will be reviewing some of the sweet treats that Food Evolution has kindly sent to us. Without further ado, let’s get started!
1. Pandan Coconut (18 cm)
Pandan cake, a cake that brings back fond childhood memories to many of us. The fragrant and fluffy cake is a combination of these two excellent ingredients which complement each other: pandan and coconut. It is evenly layered with a delightful texture of pandan cake and smooth buttercream. The coconut flakes on the outside add an extra texture to this sweet treat! (Dark Chocolate Raspberry Mousse flavour is also available!)
2. Dalgona Caramel Mocha (7 inch)
Raise your hand if you’ve tried making your own Dalgona Coffee during quarantine period! I could taste the different layers from every single bite that I ate. The cake was moist with a rich and aromatic mocha flavour. If you are worried that this cake is too sweet, fret not! It was just the right amount of sweetness. (White Chocolate Passionfruit option is also available!)
3. Christmas Cupcakes (A box of 16 with assortment designs)
These cupcakes are a treat for the eyes, the tummy and the soul. The Christmas Trees are Vanilla cupcakes, while the Reindeer and Teddy are Red Velvet cupcakes. The cupcakes were moist and delectable. To add on, the icing went very well with the cupcakes! These are the individual icing flavours on the cupcakes:
- (Green) Xmas Tree - Pistachio
- (Blue) Snowflake - Cream Cheese
- (White) Flake - Vanilla
- Reindeer and Teddy - Chocolate
4. Cookies (Double Dark Chocolate and Dulce De Leche)
Let me start off by saying that I finished half of these cookies by myself… They were soooo addictive! The Double Dark Chocolate cookies were rich and super shiok! If you are a fan of chocolate chip cookies, definitely check this out because this is a huge upgrade.
Moving on, in case you didn’t know, Dulce De Leche is Spanish for "candy [made] of milk". I loved the texture of this cookie. It was slightly more crumbly as compared to the Dark Chocolate one. This is certainly a popular choice for both children and adults!
