Hock Hoe Heng - Tingkat Review!
Good Afternoon Everyone! I hope your day is going well thus far! Today, I am back with a Tingkat Review from Hock Hoe Heng. Other than Tingkat, Hock Hoe Heng Restaurant is also able to cater to all occasions, from birthday celebrations and weddings to funeral catering needs. We are also equipped to provide you with additional logistical support for your event needs.

Let's start with the first set of Tingkat! For their Tingkat, they only serve Dinner but they serve from 1 pax to 5 pax with the delivery timing between 4pm to 7pm!
Just from the look of this picture, you should be able to tell that these dishes form a cozy-feeling, feels like dishes you might expect at home!
The Fish Fillet is topped with Salad sauce but the salad sauce isn't too overwhelming so not to worry if you are not fond of Salad Sauce. Upon the first bite, I could already feel the fresh white meat is moist even though it was fried, showing the premium quality of the fish used!
Next, Long Beans, which were stir-fried and it has a distinctly bean taste, it isn't very bitter or sweet, perfect to consume it with rice!
Next, Tempura Prawn, my personal favourite, it is a typical Japanese Dish that has prawn battered and deep-fried! Personally, I felt that the batter was a bit too thick for my own taste and preference but overall, it was still decent!
Old Cucumber Soup

For this Tingkat Set, it comes with Old Cucumber Soup and the Old Cucumber is the best part of the soup as the texture is super soft and because it is hot, it is extremely soothing to the throat. Perfect especially after a long hectic day and coming home to a bowl of soup simmered to perfection!
Overall, this set of Tingkat meal is delicious and something you would want to enjoy after a long day of work/school!
Rating 4/5

Next, we have our second and last Tingkat Set from Hock Hoe Heng! Firstly, the colour palette of this dish is super delectable! Just by looking at this picture, I could feel my stomach growling!
The Chicken Cutlet/Katsu, a popular dish and finger food among many Singaporeans! It is coated with thin layer of flour and fried to get the golden-brown crispy skin! However, it is a little too dry for my own sense of taste but it is still a super aromatic and tasty dish!
For the Milk Cabbage Dish, you can still the leafy green and stems intact perfectly together, showing the freshness of the vegetables. Usually when it comes to vegetables of such types, I tend to avoid the stems because it is extremely hard to chew but for this, the stem is soft, super easy to chew! The sauce of this dish goes really well with rice!
For the Seafood Roll, it is wrapped with a thin layer of skin, the layer of skin isn't too thick, super easy to bite into it. On the interior of the Seafood Roll, it is super moist and filled with different ingredients that goes well together!
ABC Soup

Personally, I am a super big fan of ABC Soup because it is a bowl of soup that taste so close to home! This ABC Soup really didn't disappoint and it is even filled with generous portion of potatoes and carrots. The soup is on the sweeter side and the meat used to simmer the soup is super tender!
Overall, this set of Tingkat also gives off a homely-feeling!
Rating 4/5
