How to Celebrate CNY With the New Tighter Measures
I’m sure you’ve heard about the latest CNY restrictions and I know you’re feeling disappointed because I am too. ☹ However, to curb this pandemic once and for all we do need to adhere to these restrictions and make sure that we do our part together but that doesn’t mean that we can’t enjoy the festivities while staying safe! Here are some ways that you can abide by the rules, take a break, and still have some fun this CNY.

Celebrate early
From 26 Jan 2021, we’re only able to receive guests at a maximum of 8 pax per day so if you would still like to catch up with all your loved ones, why not start celebrating earlier this year! Cater some delicious food for your guests as well to let them feel welcome. At FoodLine, we have menus for 10 pax so you don’t have to tire yourself out from cooking and just focus on hosting your loved ones.

Host everyone at different venues
Have a big group of friends but still want to enjoy some time together? By hosting groups of 8 at different venues (aka each other houses) and zoom together, you still get to see all of them and not feel bored because you still can interact with your friends both in person and virtually! The perks of zooming also include having to slot in some group activities like kahoot games!

1 pax yu sheng – the safest option this year
With the tighter measures in place, some people might feel iffy about doing lo hei together, so the 1 pax yu sheng is definitely the best solution to that! Want to know how you can get your hands on these? Check out our article here: https://www.foodline.sg/Discover/You-can-get-Individual-Yusheng-Bento-from-these-caterers/
It’s a bummer that we can’t verbalize any auspicious greetings this year during lo hei, but if you’d like to do a toast during dinner, check out this website that can help you do that without you needing to open your mouth: http://djbeng.com/yamseng.html

Send CNY gifts
Hosting people can be tiring and you definitely would want to make sure that you have enough snacks to last through till the end of CNY. However, we do understand if some families would like to skip visiting altogether this year but would still like to wish upon our loved ones' peace and prosperity. Send over some yummy CNY goodies to their houses and let them know you’re thinking of them! At FoodLine, we have over 100 addictive CNY cakes and pastries.
