Ishiro Fusion Catering’s CNY Menu Review - Perfect Festive Sets for 10 Pax
Looking for affordable yet delicious catering? Ishiro Fusion Catering is the one for you! Despite their food containing less salt, less oil and zero MSG, it does not compromise on the taste at all! They have recently sent over their CNY Festive Set and I must say, it was one of the best CNY menus that I’ve tasted so far! Read on to find out why!
1. Signature Pork Beehoon

The beehoon is cooked with bean sprouts, infusing the dish with a sweet and savoury aroma. Nevertheless, with the addition of ingredients, the beehoon tasted even better. The pork really elevated the overall flavour of this simple dish.
2. Signature Curry Chicken

Right off the bat, there was a great meat to gravy ratio, which I appreciate. The portion was generous with a decent amount of chicken and potatoes. Lastly, the spiciness of the curry was mild and had a hint of tanginess. A tip would be drizzling the curry on top of the beehoon!
3. Torched Pork Belly

The pork belly had been marinated in savoury soy sauce and other condiments before being cooked. Every bite had a rich smoky, and savoury flavour that were absolutely delicious! I loved how the glistening layers of fat, skin, and meat melted in my mouth like soft butter.
4. Phoenix Prawn with Dipping Sauce

The prawn was light and crunchy. The firmness of the prawn and the crispy outer layer gave a good contrast in mouthfeel. We dipped our prawns in the sweet chili sauce, and the sauce definitely enhanced the sweet and juicy prawns!
5. Hong Kong Style Steam Pacific Dory Fish

The fish meat was thick, and there was no briny taste to it. It was tender, moist and flaky with a slightly buttery texture to it. Whilst the flesh itself was pretty plain, the light soy sauce helped to boost the flavours with a savoury coating!
6. Japanese Smoke Duck with Citrus Sauce

The smoked duck was excellently prepared, and turned out fatty, plump, succulent and proved to be a slice of divine meat to devour. The citrus sauce helped to balance the richness of the duck breast.
7. Chicken Ngoh Hiang

As a big fan of ngoh hiang, this dish definitely did not disappoint. These bite-sized ngoh hiang were juicy, with the outside fried to crispy, golden-brown perfection. I definitely ate more than 5 pieces alone…
8. Broccoli With Mushroom and Abalone in Superior Stock

I love how the carrots were cut up into star shapes! If you have kids that dislike vegetables, these fun shaped veggies might just do the trick! There was a generous number of abalones in this dish and they were all plump and juicy. The broccoli was crunchy and they absorbed the sauce really well.
9. Mango Aloe Vera

Lastly, we have dessert! The mangoes were fresh and sweet, and the aloe vera was very refreshing. It was overall a pleasant dessert to end off our hearty meal!
