Kenny Rogers Roasters Mini Buffet Review - Amazing Western Selection!
Famous for their specialty chicken dishes, Kenny Rogers Roasters is a household name for comfort Western food. They specialise in South American dishes like rotisserie chicken, mac & cheese and corn muffins.
They have kindly sent over their Mini Buffet D (min 10pax @ $21.80/pax) for us to review, and I will be sharing my pleasant food experience with Kenny Rogers.
1. Mushroom Soup
Mushroom soup is my favourite type of soup and this definitely didn’t disappoint! This soup is made with a blend of delicious fresh mushrooms, topped off with crispy croutons. The soup was creamy and savoury, and the croutons added a different level of texture to the dish.
2. Chicken Caesar Salad
Say no to boring bland salads! This chicken caesar salad had every yummy component in it – the fresh romaine lettuce, parmesan cheese, croutons and a light and tangy dressing. The chicken was tender and not dry at all!
3. Rotisserie-Roasted Whole Chicken + Brown Pepper Sauce
We often share our love for fried chicken but one dish that doesn’t get enough love? Roast chicken. This underrated dish and healthier alternative certainly deserves the spotlight as well! The meat was extremely succulent, moist and savoury. The brown pepper sauce added a slight kick to the overall flavour of the dish.
4. 8pcs OMG Chicken
Crisp on the outside, juicy on the inside. This wholesome dish is a treat with crispy skin and succulent, flavourful meat so tasty that you can’t do anything but give a nod of satisfaction. This is called OMG Chicken for a reason…
5. Choice of 3 sides: Coleslaw, Mashed Potato, Mac & Cheese
The mac & cheese was well-cooked and tossed in a gooey cheese sauce. Super shiok! The mashed potato was creamy and flavourful with all the herbs and spices in it. Lastly, the coleslaw was simultaneously tangy and creamy, with enough dressing to counter the bitterness of raw cabbage and enough sweetness to be completely addictive.
6. Beef Bolognese
The beef was tender and the tomato sauce was very tasty, not too sour for my liking. The pasta itself was al dente! If you like cheese, definitely top your pasta off with some parmesan cheese.
7. Deep Fritters with Cheese Sauce
This is so sinful but it’s a dream come true. It’s the best fried food trio! The nuggets, onion rings and fries were all fried till perfect golden brown. The cheese sauce dip made everything better than it already was. Warning: this is highly addictive.
8. Corn Muffins
Last but not least, we had their signature corn muffins! This warm, palm-sized munchkin is fluffy with a slightly crispy crust, and studded with crunchy corn kernels. I really enjoyed the light texture of the muffins!
