Bare with me as I take you through this Bento journey!
Japanese Western Executive Bento Set A ($15.80/Pax)
For the mains, they have their Crabstick Egg Fried Rice. At first, I was slightly skeptical on how the fried rice would taste like but the moment
I took a bite from it, it tasted better than I imagined! The texture of the rice was not dry and was not oily either.
The only thing that was lacking is the Crabstick as there isn't as much as I thought which left me disappointed.
Nonetheless, their Crabstick Egg Fried Rice is still something worth going back for!

2. Oven Baked Teriyaki Chicken
Ah one of the most common dishes you can find in Japanese Cuisine would be none other than their Teriyaki Chicken,
oven baked edition. In terms of appearance, it looked huge and chunky so I had high expectations on this dish.
After taking the first bite, I was impressed that the chicken was tender and not hard.
Together with the sesame seeds, it helped bring the umami flavor to life!
Overall, this food item is something to look forward to when you order their Japanese Executive Bento Set.

3. Grilled Seabass Fillet with Japanese Sesame Sauce
Having a mixture of meat and seafood is delightful. At a glance, the Grilled Seabass Filled is drenched with sesame sauce that
is almost similar to the roasted sesame sauce that can be used for salad dressings.
I find the fish to be tender and light in texture. There was also no sign of bones in the fish which was a good thing and with
the Japanese Sesame Sauce, it made the dish taste flavorful in different levels!
If you like savoring fishes, their Grilled Seabass Fillet is not to be missed!

4. Fried Ebi Prawn with Mayonnaise
From a first glance, I was slightly disappointed that the Fried Ebi looked dry on its own . By adding some
shredded cabbage onto the bento followed by placing the Ebi, it would look more appealing and appetizing.
The texture of the prawn was crunchy enough but as the prawn was as skinny as a stick as it was mostly covered with
egg and flour. Just adding a little bit more prawn would make it more worthwhile to enjoy.
Overall, it is still a good food item to try.

1. Japanese Fried Udon
If you tried Udon in a bowl of miso soup before, you can try Japanese Fried Udon.
The Fried Udon didn't taste too bad. However, I could not taste much of the sauce they used to fry with and it seems that
they tried to make it similar to a Fried Yakisoba but it wasn't on par with the dish.
In terms of texture, it was slightly dry. Nonetheless, it is still decent dish to indulge in.

2. Chicken Katsu with Japanese Curry
Nothing can go wrong with Curry! The Chicken Katsu also known as Panko Chicken or Tori Chicken in English
is coated with egg, flour and bread crumbs before deep frying to golden brown.
It was heaven in a bite as the chicken had was tenderizing. The curry made the entire dish better as it had a rich flavor, making you want more!
Although I would prefer the curry sauce to be separated instead of the chicken being drenched as it is,
this dish is certainly a must-try!

3. Oven Baked Teriyaki Salmon
Something similar to the Oven Baked Teriyaki Chicken, this dish is just as good but think of it as the seafood version.
The word Teriyaki is actually a cooking method that was used way back in the 17th centaury, Japan.
It means to marinate either the meat or fish in sauce and thereafter grilling it.
The salmon had a good texture and rich in flavor with the sweetness coming from the Teriyaki glaze.
It's a dish that is worthy satisfying your taste buds for!

4. Steam Tofu with Garlic Soy Dressing
If you are tofu fan then you may want to consider trying their Steam Tofu with Garlic Soy Dressing.
This dish was silky and smooth, accompanied with the Garlic soy dressing to finish it off
was the perfect dressing to eat with.

Western Executive Bento Set A ($14.80/Pax)
1. Seafood Aglio Olio
For the Mains, they have their Seafood Aglio Olio which mainly uses garlic and oil. In some cases, the pasta can have a variety of
different ingredients being used.
The Aglio Olio was slightly dry in texture as well as there wasn't much seafood in the dish. Perhaps by adding slightly
abit more may be good enough. Although it was dry, it didn't loose the peppery after-taste so it is still
worth every bite.
Rating: 4/5
2. Oven Baked BBQ Chicken
You can tell from the picture above that the chicken is drenched in a huge amount of BBQ sauce and it looks really appealing.
With a big chicken like that, I would've expect it to be tender like the rest of the chicken dishes
but to my surprise it wasn't. The chicken was tough and dry in terms of texture that I had to drink in between to cleanse my palate.
If you do not like the chicken to be dry, I recommend taking as much BBQ sauce as possible.
Overall, it's a dish that isn't too bad neither too good.
Rating: 3.5/5
3. Sauteed Mixed Vegetables
As someone who doesn't fancy and crunchy vegetables, in this case the vegetables were beyond my comprehension.
The broccoli and cauliflower started out being crunchy in texture but began to feel soft after.
The mushrooms were sauteed to perfection and it was not chunky in texture.
Overall, it is a good to have a balanced meal of protein, carbs and vitamins so the vegetables did help.
Rating: 4/5
4. Grilled Fish with Creamy White Sauce
From a glance, I had second thoughts if the dish were taste good as fish was drenched in white sauce making it look soft and soggy.
After having a few bites, the fish didn't taste that bad as it was soft and chewy. The white sauce was rich and packed
full with flavor that it tasted as if I was having a plate of Creamy Spaghetti Carbonara.

1. Garlic Butter Rice
The Garlic Butter Rice was rich in flavor as there was a garlic after-taste.
It has almost the same flavor and richness to the chicken rice itself!
I recommend using any condiments to give out more flavor to the rice such as
soy sauce, mayonnaise or Japanese Seaweed.
Rating: 4/5
Before proceeding, yes it's still Oven Baked Chicken just without teriyaki and BBQ sauce. This time, the chicken is drenched with brown sauce.
I lowered my expectations on this one since the BBQ chicken didn't suit my taste buds.
The taste of the chicken was slightly better than the BBQ Chicken in terms of texture.
It was also moist and with the Brown sauce, it gave a sweet after taste.
Definitely recommend going for this one instead.
Rating: 4/5
3. Broccoli with Baby Carrot
In terms of texture, the broccoli and carrots here were also not too hard and had the right
texture. Although it looks dry, I definitely recommend dipping or drizzling it with
mayonnaise, thousand island dressing or roasted sesame sauce to give that extra punch
of flavor. By doing that, you will enjoy the vegetables even more.
Rating: 4/5
4. Grilled Fish with Lemon Butter Sauce
When I saw that the grilled fish being drenched with lemon sauce, I knew it was gonna taste chewy and citrusy in flavor.
Unfortunately, that's where it all went downhill. The fish was chewy in texture but the lemon sauce was
a little bit too strong for my liking. As lemon is brings out a strong flavor, it's best not to add in
too much of it into the sauce before serving.

Pastry Set (Swiss Rolls, Chocolate Eclair, Cream Puffs)
Ending off the bento sets with something sweet.
All Bento sets mentioned above comes with a Pastry Set and Packet Drinks.
Among the all the pastries in this set, my favorite would be the Chocolate Eclair as it soft
and light in texture and as you bite into the pastry, the generous amount of cream just explodes in your mouth.
It is a dessert that is worth going back for!
Rating: 5/5
