O-Food & Co Blog Review - Plant-Based Burgers & Sandwiches
The first thing that came to my mind was how much these burgers and sandwiches’ patties looked like real meat! O-Food & Co specialises in plant-based food and aims to provide a lasting taste of happiness with flavourful, sustainable food both for the community and environment!
1. Signature Black Pepper Sensational Burger (S$15.80, U.P. $16.80)
This Black Pepper Sensational Burger has got to be the one for all black pepper lovers out there. The signature Harvest Gourmet plant-based patty was very well cooked as it was super moist and had a nice bite to it. With sliced cheese, fresh lettuce, juicy tomatoes, and peppered shiitake mushrooms, this burger packed a whole ton of lush earthy flavours. Surprisingly, the black pepper didn’t overpower the other elements of the burger but instead, enhanced them. The burger buns were light and soft, with a pillowy bounce to them too! Very yummy!

2. Classic BBQ Burger (S$14.80)
This Classic BBQ Burger has definitely got to be my favorite amongst the rest! Not only was the signature Harvest Gourmet plant-based patty super juicy and tender, but it also tasted really similar to real meat. How mind blowing is that? Accompanying the patty was cheese, lettuce, onions and the star of the show, the roasted peppers, which were what made this burger stand out from the rest. They were so perfectly seasoned and provided both the sweet and tangy element. To end it all off on a good note, the entire patty was very well complemented with classic BBQ sauce and cajun mayo. Super shiok!!

3. Fantastico Burger (S$14.80)
The Fantastico Burger was pretty similar to the other 2 burgers but the first thing that excited my taste buds was the very unique taste of the Rosetta’s tomato basil chutney atop the signature Harvest Gourmet plant-based patty. It was super fragrant and tasty, creating the perfect blend of a sweet and spicy flavour. This burger also comes with generous mesclun salad, juicy tomatoes, onions, sliced cheese, basil and cashew pesto!

4. Aloha Sandwich (S$13.80)
If you're a fan of pineapples on pizzas, you will like this Aloha Sandwich too! The main star of the dish has got to be the signature Harvest Gourmet plant-based patty, but this time crumb-coated. The patty was perfectly fried with the right amount of crunch to it. With different textures coming from the crunchy veggies and creamy mayo, this burger was definitely a party in a mouth! This burger was a very refreshing one because I've not had pineapples in my burgers before!

5. Fruity Sensation Sandwich (S$13.80)
Just one bite of this crispy crunchy sandwich and you'll feel like a freshly minted person, jolted to life with a burst of fruity sweetness from O-Food's house-made minty fruit salsa. It's still quite a mystery to me how people can combine both sweet and savoury flavours to a perfect symphony. The flavours and textures of all the ingredients just work so well together, it's really almost like magic. The crunchy crumb-coated patty from Harvest Gourmet with the crunchy mesclun and other vegetables felt like they were made for each other. One bite from this delicious sandwich will keep you craving for more! YUMZ!
