The fried cauliflower were served in a citrus gochujang sauce. Gochujang is a fermented chilli paste that is sweet, spicy and tangy. I enjoyed the use of gochujang as I loved its mild spice and really rich, umami flavour, and it gave so much depth to the dish. The cauliflower were fried to perfection and the sauce was a great balance between spicy, sweet, and savoury.

One of the most humble foods is certainly garlic bread. It appears to be just a plain meal of toasted bread and garlic butter but any fan of garlic bread would be aware of the dish's intricacy. This garlic bread from Rise & Grind Grill was easily one of the best garlic bread that I have ever had. The bread was perfectly toasted, giving it the ideal crunch. Additionally, each piece had a consistent garlic to bread ratio and the garlic flavour was rich without being overbearing.

I enjoyed the delectable and creamy flavour of this mushroom soup. This bowl of goodness consists of garlic and cream, and caramelised mushrooms. This comforting soup makes an enticing appetiser course or stand-alone dish. Make sure to pair the garlic bread with the mushroom soup! Any way you have it, this rich and creamy soup will keep you coming back for more.

This dish is so simple yet complex! The pasta is perfect and cooked al dante. The crispy bacon bits added another great element, and the egg just ties the whole dish together. Absolutely loved it and can't wait to try it again!

Chicken Chop with Black Pepper Sauce is a standard offering at Western stalls and restaurants in Singapore. However, Rise & Grind's rendition of the dish definitely stood out. The black pepper sauce added a savoury and addicting flavour to the juicy and flavourful chicken chop. 

With its marbling of fat running throughout the cut, the rib-eye is renowned for its juicy yet supple texture and rich umami flavour. The steak was incredibly tender, and was cooked perfectly which created a juicy, flavourful meat. The meat was also accompanied by sides of garden salad and french fries.

7. Chocolate Lava Cake w Ice Cream

What better way to end off a hearty meal than to indulge in a rich and comforting chocolate lava cake with ice cream. So rich and decadent, this lava cake would definitely be a crowd favourite. Cut open one of these and have the warm melty centre, ooze out and melt in your mouth. A few words I’d use to describe this chocolate lava cake would be: warm, comforting, fudgy, and YUMMY.
