Bee’s Cake Review – King of Taste & Texture
Whether you’re 60 or 10 years old, cakes will always hold a special place in all our hearts as it is associated with the joy and innocence of our childhood. They were there throughout our birthdays and even in other kinds of important celebrations or meaningful milestones such as marriage.
They are essential in celebrations and Bee’s Cake definitely delivered that feeling of bliss when they sent us 3 of their enticing sweet treats to try!
Sea Salt Caramel Chocolate cake
Bee’s Cake’s Sea Salt Caramel Chocolate cake is nothing short of delectable. As someone who isn’t a fan of caramel because of how sweet it is normally, the sea salt flavour infused into the caramel helps to lessen the overall sweetness of the cake and adds a mild salty flavour. Needless to say, I was pleasantly surprised at how well the sweet and savoury flavour complemented each other and found myself taking a few more bites. Or maybe more. 😊
Paired with the sweet taste of the moist chocolate cake, I found that there was a generous amount of crunchy chocolate balls added between the layers of the cake that added texture to the overall bite. Definitely a kid-friendly cake, this cake was easy to devour!

Gula Melaka Pandan cake
The different textures of each layer of the Gula Melaka Pandan cake made it a delightful one to have. With a slightly dense cake infused with fresh Pandan juice, a smooth Pandan custard layer, and a layer of Gula Melaka-infused grated coconut, the cake had the sweet aroma and unique taste of Gula Melaka and Pandan. Topped with Gula Melaka whipped cream and shredded coconut, the cake carries the essence of Nyonya pastries.
This cake is also not surfeiting, so rest assured that every bite will be gratifying from the start till the end! Especially fans of Pandan cakes, this cake is for you!

Mini Passion Fruit Meringue tarts
All I can say about Bee’s Cake’s new mini Passion Fruit Meringue tarts is that they nailed the perfect ratio of the passion fruit curd’s tangy flavour to the buttery taste of their homemade tart shell!
The passion fruit curd’s taste was not overpowering at all and was simply pleasant. These little tarts are also distinctively topped off with a marshmallow-like meringue, adding texture and a faint, sweet flavour to the tart. In my opinion, these tarts are a great addition to any celebration.
