Cake Inspiration Review - The Solution to Your Cake Cravings

Cake Inspiration has recently sent over their new Carrot Walnut Caramel Cheesecake for us to try!

It is with no doubt that aesthetics is the main focus nowadays that the taste gets neglected sometimes. Being a cake lover, I’ve had many kinds of cakes and I find it difficult to find a cake that taste just as good as it looks! However, it is of a different story here with Cake Inspiration, the cake from them is not only appealing to the eyes but also a blessing to your taste buds!

Though this cake might look like it was overly drenched with caramel, I personally felt that this was what that has given the cake such a nice fragrance. I got to admit though, that some of my colleagues did indeed find this cake quite rich and sweet. However, the sweet tooth in me was totally digging this cake!

The walnuts that were used as toppings and in between the cake layers added a great texture and a tinge of “earthiness” to the cake. There were slight hints of astringency to the cake from the walnuts but I thought that added great layers of flavours. The perfect combination of candied dried fruits, bits of carrots, raisins and the cinnamon really gave the cake such an aromatic touch!

Their incredibly moist yet fluffy cake layers wow-ed me as I was totally not expecting it. This cake didn’t disappoint me at all and left me craving for more after I finished my piece!

Overall, I felt the flavours of all the ingredients used in this cake blended nicely with each other. I particularly liked how the creaminess from the buttercream complemented the sweetness of the caramel icing. I initially thought that a slice of this cake would be too much for a seating, but I am pleasantly surprised seeing how I managed to finish the piece up, I got to give this cake a thumbs up!
