They’ve recently launched their Rosette Cream Cake for their Mother’s Day Collection and has kindly sent us 2 cakes to try out! You can choose among the 6 designs they have to be printed on your cakes as well! We’ve received 2 of the designs – Whimsical Rabbit and Charming Flamingo.

Not only do you get to choose your designs, but you can also pick from the 6 flavours and the 3 Rosette colours they have! They’ve sent 2 flavours to us – Chocolate base with Chocolate Fresh cream Fillings and Vanilla base with Fresh cream Strawberry Fillings!

If you’re looking for something special to surprise your mum this Mother’s Day, we reckon you order this Rosette Cream Cake from CAKEINSPIRATION! From edible wallpapers to the beautifully piped Rosette swirls, it was just too attractive and adorable for me to cut into! You can be reassured that they wouldn’t have missed out the small details on this well-designed cake!

Simplicity is the ultimate form of sophistication! If your mum is one of those who doesn’t have a flare for over-exaggerated looks, these cakes have a simple yet detailed design!

Chocolate-based cake with chocolate cream filling... Do I have to say more? You heard of how some chocolate cakes with chocolate cream could be too sweet and cloying? This cake is definitely not one of those! If your mum is a vivid chocolate lover, this could probably do the job! There was a pleasant, mild chocolate taste with just the right amount of sweetness! Though I did feel that this cake would taste a lot better if the chocolate flavour was a lot stronger and if the cream could be a tad bit less greasy.

Charming Flamingo

Intricate swirls and hand-piped 3D buttercream flowers, won’t you agree these elements add a resounding touch of elegance? The design was so pretty, we were awed at how gorgeous the swirls and patterns were on this cake!

As this cake was being removed from the box, we could smell the hints of sweetness from the buttercream and the vanilla scent from the vanilla-based cake wafted through the air.

However, the essence of vanilla and strawberry was really subtle – I personally felt that the vanilla scent was much stronger than the vanilla taste. I have a thing for sweet treats and wished the sweetness could have been taken up a notch because it was a little too subtle for my sweet tooth.  Yet it was the mild sweet taste of the cake that made it non-surfeiting!

I would have appreciated this piece even more if the vanilla-based cake was moister and denser as just having the cake on its own would have been too drying for me. Having said that, if I were to eat it together with the fresh cream, it would have been just nice!

Nonetheless, as a cake lover, I still enjoyed this piece! This could be suitable for those who are not into super sweet desserts since it is mild tasting in both taste and flavour!
