CakeInspiration Review - Xmas Peppermint Cake

You can never have too much dessert ‘Tis season! As Christmas is inching closer, streets are being lit up with beautiful decorations, giving out Christmas vibes everywhere! This year, CakeInspiration has also crafted beautiful Christmas cakes to ring in the Christmas cheer! We received their Christmas Checkered Peppermint Cake to review recently and here are our thoughts about it!

Upon lifting the box lid, we were wowed by the stunning colours of the cake! It looked exactly like how it was in the photos- delicate designs and consistent vibrant colours all around. It was interesting how they were able to make every flower that was made with cream look so real and colourful! I think if you were to have this cake at your party, you can expect to see people around you whipping out their phones to snap photos of the cake to share on their Instagram feed. You’d be even more surprised to see how it looked on the inside!

Would you take a look at that! They are like symmetrical building bricks that make a house, a house made of cake that is. The cake is vanilla flavoured, layered with smooth, light cream all around. I really liked this cake as I felt the light cream balanced out the sweetness of the checkered sponge. There was also a light hint of peppermint from the cream.
